    Q
Can the ActiveGuard Mattress Liner be used effectively for a platform bed to cover the wood slats under the mattress?
I do not have box spring instead wood planking that has been treated as well as mattress encasement. Can this be used over the wood planking for added protection?
    A

While the ActiveGuard liner has not been specifically tested for use on the wooden slats under a mattress, and it is really designed more for a soft surface like a mattress, boxspring or sofa bed, it could potentially work for your needs. Normally with slats you would spray the slats where they connect with the bed frame with a residual bedbug insecticide like Temprid SC to give you continuous protection in those areas.

  • Asked by Jean from Alamosa, Colorado

    Q
Can the ActiveGuard Mattress Liner be used on a waterbed mattress?
    A

The ActiveGuard Mattress Liner should be fine to use on a waterbed mattress as long as you select the correct size for your bed. We would still recommend using a mattress pad underneath the ActiveGuard Liner, and of course a fitted sheet on top of it when making the bed. Please keep in mind that we do not recommend the ActiveGuard as the sole treatment for existing bed bug infestations.
