DESCRIPTION: Advance 375A Select Ant Bait is a protein-based bait that eliminates common varieties of household ants such as Acrobat, Argentine, Bigheaded, Carpenter, Crazy, Field, Fire, Harvester, Little Black, Pavement, Pharaoh, Odorous House and Thief Ants. Advance™ can be used indoors and outdoors to control the ant population. This bait formulation provides for the ant's dietary needs while using the delayed-action insecticide Abamectin. We recommend using this product together with Maxforce FC Ant Killer Bait Gel.
USE: Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait can be used outdoors as a broadcast application around and close to the perimeter of the structure (8oz. per 1/2 acre), or on the interior inside wall voids. Do not use in areas that have been treated with insecticides or sprays. This will cause the bait to be unattractive to the ants. Always read the label!
Pt brand Advance 375A select granular ant bait uses special proteins and carbohydrates combined with a uniques corn grit matrix that quickly entices these "select" ants to readily take the bait back to the colony. Once the bait is consumed, the reliable active ingredienct, abamectin B1, quickly reduces populations to acceptable levels.
Abamectin B1 is a GABA inhibitor that interferes with the normal functioning of an insect's nervous system and begins affecting ant populations within 24 hours. This type of insecticide allows the ants time to take the bait back to the nest where it is distributed throughout the colony. Reproduction of the colony halts once the queens have been eliminated and the workers, who carried the bait, perish.
Instructions:
ADVANCE 375A Select Granular Ant Bait is a ready to use product for use in controlling numorous ants both indoors and outdoors. This bait formulation combines a mixture of foods and the delayed action insecticide, Abamectin. This insecticide acts to reduce the population of worker ants and can cause an immediate halt in egg production resulting in colony elimination. Avoid use of other insecticides or sprays on or near this product.

Buy this. You won't regret it.

Got my shipment of this today and went right to work with it. I have pavement ants along the front sidewalk and around the edges of the driveway. I was a professional pest control tech with a major company for a couple years and have experience and success with this bait. I sprinkled some of this around and no bull- it no sooner landed and the ants around that area were picking it up and taking it to the nest. I went back a couple hours later and it looked like I did nothing, they took every last grain of this stuff. So I'll give it a couple days and check back for activity. I know this stuff works from using it before. If you choose this don't expect to see dead ants everywhere. They'll eat this and die in the nest so just look for a major decrease of activity to know that it works!

I have been having an issue with large black carpenter & argentine ants around the exterior of our log-sided home. On the deck rails and siding around the backside of the home they were in large numbers. I bought Advance 375A Select granular ant bait and gave a light sprinkle outside the area I will perform a barrier treatment with Demon WP. I have also placed several mini-trails on the deck railing where I have seen a lot of activity. Less than a week later I can't even find any of them. Excellent product.

Excellent product!
By Christine on August 24, 2005I used Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait on the back of the house, by the back door leading to the porch and instantly I could see the ants going for the bait. Wtihin 1 day they were practically gone. I would recommend this product along with Uncle Albert's bait gel for the perimeter of the windowsills. Excellent products!!

Gone, simply gone

I've had a persistent problem with what I call tiny sugar ants for years getting into the house. I've tried Amdro, Maxforce, Cynoff, and Talstar ... and the only thing that really worked was Advance 375A. As soon as I see activity in the yard I sprinkle a small amount at the mound and within days there is no activity. This is my third season using Advance and so far I still have control.

Excellent Product
By Patricia on August 20, 2010We live in a log home in the woods and have had problems with ants since we built the house in 2001. We began using this product in the spring and have not had any ants this year. I would recommend this to anyone with an ant problem.

Thank you - SAVED hundreds on pest inspection fee's
June 3, 2013I love my quirky pest inspection "guy" that has helped me for the past several years manager our "sugar ants"; however, once I realized his "magic sauce" he was using (this stuff!) I decided to look for it online. AMAZING results for a fraction of the cost. Quick delivery! Excellent product for what I call "sugar ants." We use it at all of our rentals and our primary residence. THANK YOU! You have saved us hundreds of dollars.

ant b gone
By Jeff on May 16, 2013I have used this product for over two years and have found nothing else like it. I always have a recurring problem in the spring with ants here in southeast Tennessee and this product does the trick. just sprinkle it around the area where you find ants and a day later the ants are gone. This is the only product I will use.

Advance 375A
By Bill on May 15, 2013I have used the recommended bait three times over the course of several weeks in an attempt to control ant mounds that are in my yard. The ants are large red and black in color and are numerous. So far I have not seen any diminished activity with the ant colonies.

I have used Advance to eliminate fire ants from my yard. It seems to only take a small amount to kill a bed. on Larger beds i use it 2 or 3 times. It works better to use it more frequently than a large amount. Keep using and do not give up.

Very Effective on Odorous House Ants
By p on March 9, 2013Last year I used some Bayer Max Force Gel bait and it worked well for odorous house ants. But this year they were not interested - perhaps I needed a fresh batch. I got this Advance 375A Select bait and they went right after it. I thought the grain size might be too big for them, but they hauled it away and soon fewer and fewer ants till there were none. These ants love friskies wet cat food then I swapped with this bait and wiped them out.

Good granular bait
By Jesse on February 11, 2013Used in Ant-b-gone bait stations. Nice granular bait with a broad label for a lot of different kinds of ants. I am a professional and I prefer Ascend granular bait over this as a broadcast treatment but the Advance is a nice rotational bait or spot treatment bait.

Awesome result, used with bait station and Terro
By Bucgator on February 4, 2013just wanted to write a review for the people who were like me and looking for a solution... the perfect solution for the novice pest control person is to use this product and the ant bait station along with terro... Using this combo works because it kills both types of ants protein and sugar based (i think that is how they are separated)... but because I am no entomologist and just wanted them dead this was awesome... I used the bait stations and with the separator had half granules and half terro and my problems were gone in days... I bought the large sizes thinking that I would need that much but I didn't and you don't either... I used these at a hotel where I work at and barely used a quarter of the container... so order the bait stations order the small size of this and terro and you will be good to go. Good Luck

QDo household pets need to be removed from the premises when Advance 375A has been spread about the home?
ANo. Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait when applied properly is too small of an amount to harm an animal as large as a pet. You should keep the container of the granule in a safe place as you would any other cleaning solution or product. Keep in mind this product is only .011% active ingredient and the remaining 99.989% is food products that attracts the ants to eat it, so it would take a large amount of this product, almost the whole jug for an animal to get sick.
July 18, 2010Bob asked:
QCan Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait be used in a vegetable garden?
AThe only way you can use Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait in a vegetable garden is if you place the granules in a bait plate station so that the granules do not come into contact with the plants. You can also sprinkle the granules around the outside perimeter of the garden.
April 13, 2011Bruce asked:
QDo you need to water in Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait to be effective?
ANo, there is no need to water in Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait. This is actually a product that insects will eat and carry back to the colony. Please take a few moments to read over the product label to be sure you are following all directions so that you will have great results.
May 22, 2012Frederick from Spring Hill, Florida. asked:
QDeltagard doesn't seem to effect ant colonies. Is there another product that works better?
I'm a repeat customer and enjoy using your products, as they all seem to work well when used correctly.
Part of my regimen consists of applying Deltagard to my lawn outside, although it controls roaches and other bugs I still see ants nests all over the yard in fact they increase in amounts.
I find myself having to sprinkle some delta dust to get rid of them. Do you have anything specifically for preventing red and black ants making nests in my yard? Thanks.
AInsecticide granules like DeltaGard do a great jobs on most insects. However, since ant colonies are underground and so is the queen, in order to eliminate the ant colony you need to get a product down underground where the queen and other members are that don't normally leave the colony. The insecticide granules like DeltaGard only kill the worker ants that walk on top of the ground and look for food. While the product is killing some of the ants, the queen and rest of the colony is still thriving underground. It is recommended to use an ant bait granular bait for your issue. Instead of killing the ants, bait granular is a food the ants pick up and take back to the colony like any other food. They end up passing the food around, the bait, and the poison ends up being fed to the queen and all of the other colony members that do not normally go outside. This method should kill the entire colony, not just the workers that walk on the surface. Our most popular ant bait is Advance 375A. You should not apply any more insecticide like DeltaGard while using bait because you don't want to kill the ants before they make it back with the bait. Apply the bait when it is not going to rain for a couple days if you can help it. You should try to let the bait remain dry as long as possible.
August 16, 2010Steve asked:
QWhat should I get for removal of carpenter, fire and pavement ants ?
AAdvance 375A Ant Bait granule is labeled for carpenter ants, fire ants and pavement ants. Advion Ant bait gel is also labeled for the 3 ant species you indicated. The granular product should be used outdoors and the gel works best indoors. Synthetic pyrethroid insecticides such as Talstar P or Suspend SC can be used to directly treat the nests if you know where they are located.
April 28, 2011Scott asked:
QWhat can I use on Argentine ants around a lake?
Have trillions of ants around lake. Says I can't use Termidor SC within 15 feet of lake. HELP.
AYou are right, Termidor SC cannot be used close to a lake. In fact, Termidor SC can only be used on or immediately adjacent to a structure and should not be used at all out in the yard for ant control according to the product label. Your best bet for controlling the Argentine ants by a lake would be to use ant baits placed in ant bait stations. Advance 375A Ant Bait Granules and Gourmet Liquid ant bait can be used in the Ant No More Bait Stations. By using two different kinds of bait at once you can be sure you are offering at least one bait that they will readily accept. The Ant No More bait station will help protect the baits from non-target animals, weather and will prevent the bait from entering the lake.
June 16, 2011Bruce asked:
QWhat should I do if I have ants that are not taking MaxForce FC Ant Bait Gel or Advance Ant Bait Granules?
The baits appear to have helped with larger, Carpenter Ants, but very small black ants do not seem to be attracted to it. I am again spraying periodic insecticides because there are so many small ones..
ABe sure to never spray insecticides where you are placing baits. Most insecticides are somewhat repellent and will contaminate the bait causing bait avoidance. There are certain types of ants that do not readily accept baits because they make their own food. We recommend that you get the small ants identified to see if this may be your problem. You can contact an entomologist through your local cooperative extension office to get an insect identification. If you do have a species of ant that doesn't accept bait you can always use a product such as Termidor SC. Termidor SC is a non-repellent product that is picked up on the fine hairs of an ants body and then inadvertently spread through the ant colony by normal social interaction. Most people notice that the entire ant infestation is gone in 1-3 weeks. The only downside to Termidor SC is that it is an outdoor only product. If you need to treat indoors you can use Phantom. Phantom is a lot like the Termidor but it does take a little bit longer to see results and it can be used indoors.
July 11, 2011Art asked:
QWhich Advance product is best for carpenter ants- this one or Advance Carpenter Ant Bait?
Which Advance product is best for carpenter ants- "Advance 375A" or "Advance Carpenter Ant Bait"?
Same active ingredient, at exactly the same concentration, but different labels. Both are labeled for use as bait for carpenter ants.
So, I am puzzled by the overlap between these two very similar Advance products.
AThe manufacturer of the Advance Ant baits has recognized a need to have a product that is specifically labeled and formulated for carpenter ants. The Advance Carpenter Ant Bait has granules that are perfectly sized for this type of ant and the bait matrix itself is slightly different to be more attractive to this species even though the active ingredient is the same.
June 18, 2011Keith asked:
QWhat is the best way to control western thatching ants?
What products would you recommend for controlling a large exterior population of these ants on wooded acreage? Including large mounds of the ants.
AMany of our customers have had success with broadcasting Advance 375A in the yard over and around the mounds and then applying Termidor as a liquid treatment around the perimeter. Termidor is our best selling ant control product.
October 20, 2011Sunday from Lima asked:
QIs it safe for children to be home during the application of Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait?
AYes. Since Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait is not air-born there should be no problem with children being home during the application.
April 1, 2012Dave from Oregon asked:
QDoes rain render Advance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait useless?
I understand this to be an perimeter bait dust. Does damp weather or rain affect it's effectiveness?
AAdvance 375A Select Granular Ant Bait is not rendered useless if it gets rained on but the bait may be washed away with rain or begin to mold if it stays moist too long.
