Elizabeth from United States writes

Advantage flea products are made with fipronil and imadocloprid. Both available cheap from DoMyOwnPestControl.

I read the above in an article and wanted to know if you could mix the two to make a topical flea solution, if so what products and the ratio to be used? I couldn't find what I needed by looking at individual products.

Answer:

For a flea treatment, we would recommend the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit. It comes with the insecticide Onslaught which is labeled for fleas as well as various other pests as well. You will mix 0.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water The kit also comes with Martins IGR. An IGR is an insect growth regulator; this is like a birth control for the fleas and will stop them from reproducing. You will use 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. These two items can be mixed together when you are spraying these. We recommend using a pump sprayer. Please give us a call if you have any additional questions.
