I am looking for the best/strongest/longest lasting pest controls for termites, indoor bugs, and fire ants?

Do you have any suggestions?? I am located in Columbia, SC, and have fired my termite control contract due to the fact they have constantly go up each year. Other quick question, can I manage my termite control myself??? How?
