With all those people moving through one space, apartment dwellings are particularly vulnerable to bed bug hitchhikers moving in on infested furniture or other belongings. The infestation you suffer may have begun with a previous resident, or it could be that one of your neighbors has bed bugs and brought them over on a pant cuff.
