We would also recommend that in addition to an insecticide like Arilon that you also use a high quality roach bait gel such as Invict Roach Bait Gel to help get the roaches that hide in places where you cannot spray (cabinets, counter tops, drawers) as well as an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches.
Arilon is a residual which means it will not be a contact kill for the roaches. It could kill a roach within a few hours or within a day or so depending on such factors as how healthy the roach is, and how long it spent on a treated surface. The spray will typically last indoors 90 days and outdoors 30 days, but for an active infestation you would want to retreat every 30 days indoors until the colony is eliminated.
We would recommend that you look over our article on How To Get Rid of Roaches as well if you have a moment.

Arilon Insecticide uses the active ingredient Indoxacarb which is a non repellent. This non repellent quality allows the roach to unknowgly come into contact with the active ingredient and take it back to share by contact amongst other roaches. indoxacarb remains active even after digestion so it can be passed along to other insects through feces and bait sharing. It is the first pest control bait that scientists have found to remain active after it has been transferred twice after the first lethal dose. Passing poison like this from one insect to another is known as horizontal transfer. This allows Indoxacarb products to target and kill muliple generations of roaches with a single feeding. It is not provide a contact or quick kill but is very effective for roach control.
