I have used this product for years. It is unbeatable for fungus control in fescue in hot weather. But what I am truly impressed with is the advice and service I have gotten from domyownpestcontrol.com. Prompt and professional!

May 17, 2010Jim asked:
QCan you use Armada with a hose end sprayer?
Can you put this on the yard with a water hose sprayer -- the kind that attaches to a hose and mixes with water as it sprays?
ANo. Armada is a wettable powder that must be allowed to dissolve in water, then be agitated, and continue to be agitated while being sprayed. A wettable powder is not made to be used with a hose end sprayer.
June 6, 2010Ken asked:
QAre there any restrictions in the use of Armada 50 WP around animals (dog)?
AArmada 50 WP is safe to use around pets and children but just like any other product on our website, we recommend keeping pets and children away while you are applying the product. Once the product has dried, which usually only takes 45 minutes to an hour, it is perfectly safe to allow pets and children back on the lawn.
June 19, 2010Mark asked:
QI have a 2 gallon tank sprayer. Is this enough water to mix a 3 oz packet?
Directions indicate that one 3 oz packet treats 5000 sq ft of lawn but the mix rate is 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft. Assuming that I should not cut open the water soluble packet, I would need a larger (10 gallon) sprayer?
AIt depends on the type of disease you are controlling. The label actually states for most diseases that you apply .6 oz of Armada per 1000 square feet. If you mix 3 oz in 2 gallons of water, then that 3 oz mixture should be applied over 5000 square feet, which works out to be about a quart and a half per 1000 square feet. After application, you can water in the product into the lawn to help it move into the thatch layer. This would be the equivalent of spraying 5000 square feet with 10 gallons of water.
September 25, 2010Steve asked:
QIs each packet .3 oz or 3 oz? How much turf grass area will one packet cover for brown patch?
AEach packet of Armada 50 WP is 3 oz. and each bag of Armada 50 WP comes with 4 x 3 oz packets. The Armada 50 WP product label calls for 0.6-1.2 oz of product for every 1,000sq ft of turf grass for the treatment of brown patch.
August 10, 2011Leslie from Denver, Nc asked:
QI am using a 4 gallon backpack sprayer. How many teaspoons, tablespoons or ounces of Armada should I use?
How many square feet of turf will this cover?
AIt depends on the type of disease you are controlling. The product label actually states for most diseases that you apply .6 oz of Armada per 1000 square feet. If you mix 3 oz (1 packet) in 4 gallons of water, then that 3 oz mixture should be applied over 5000 square feet. After application, you can water the product into the lawn to help it move into the thatch layer. Please read the Armada product label for the complete instructions.
December 15, 2011Alex from Burlington, Nc asked:
QI have fungus issues but I can not clearly identify. I have heard Armada 50 is a pretty good broad spectrum?
AArmada 50 WP is a a great broad spectrum fungicide. With that being said broad spectrum does not mean that it will eliminate all types of fungus, it will only help with those diseases that are listed on the product label. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff. The master gardener can usually help you identify the disease and also recommend the best product for your needs.
February 11, 2012Jim from Soquel, Ca asked:
QCan Armada fungicide be used advanced powdery mildew on a apple tree?
Oil sprays with added copper have been ineffective. (Gravensteins are apparently more prone to powdery mildew than other varities.)
AArmada is labeled for powdery mildew and it is labeled for use on Apple Trees. However it is labeled for use on non-bearing apple trees so it cannot be used if you are harvesting.
