The exact temperature at which a particular arthropod pest will die will vary depending on the species, life cycle, and health of the pest. However, any insects and similar pests will die from direct contact from steam. Clothing and/or bed linens can be treated in a household dryer for at least 30 minutes to kill any pests that may be on these items.
