  • Asked by Tom from Harrisburg, Pa

    Q
Where do the sucked-up bugs lodge? Can we eventually release the bugs outside without risking skin contact?
I am moving to Pennsylvania, which I understand is being overrun with stink bugs. Those bugs are large (adults are up to an inch long, and nearly as wide). Where will they lodge once sucked into the Atrix Bug-Sucker, and can we count on them not escaping once vacuumed-up? Can we eventually release the bugs outside without risking skin contact with them? How? Do we just shake them out of the bag?
    A

The Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum comes with a Shake Out Bag which is where the insects will be caught. You are then required to take the vacuum outdoors, remove the bag and shake the bugs out of the bag. The vacuum can also be used with a HEPA Dust Bag which will contain the insects a little bit better for your needs. You can see all of these parts and how the vacuum is used by reading over the Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum owners manual which we have linked in this answer for your convenience but which is always available on the vacuum product page on our website.

    Q
What is the exact size of the Atrix Bug Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum?
I have a small access to an attic that I need to vacuum up bat droppings. Don't want to buy it if I can't fit it thru the opening.
    A

    Q
Can you suck up insecticide dust into the vacuum prior to sucking up the pests
    A

Insecticide dusts are not labeled to be used in vacuums for treatment purposes. If insecticide dust is vacuumed up along with the insects when using the Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum, that is ok. After using the Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum, immediately empty the canister or remove dust bag and dispose in an outside trash container or bin.

  • Asked by Zahid from Kampala, Uganda
    12/09/2016
    Q
Can I use the Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum to collect crickets for my collection?
Hello, I am looking for a product, which: 1) vacuums several thousand crickets at once out of a crate 2) collects the insects in a bag that can then be removed easily without the crickets escaping Any suggestions?
    A

The Atrix Bug-Sucker absolutely can collect thousands of insects, but most insects will not survive. This is a cannister vacuum that does not use bags, but it could be emptied into a bag, if needed. Keep in mind that we can only ship within the US. Please let us know if we can further assist you.

    Q
Do you have a vacuum that will kill roaches at an affordable price?
    A
We do not carry any vacuums that kill roaches. The Atrix Backpack HEPA Vacuum is used for cleaning and blowing purposes. You would use this in a case where a large area was fogged and there were lots of insects to clean up.

    Q
How much suction (in CFM) Atrix Bug-Sucker HEPA Backpack Vacuum in optimal condition.
The relatively light backpack is incredibly appealing, but suction is really the critical factor. I really would need to buy accessories like the ones included with the 1Q cannister vacuum kit, as well, if you could address that. Thank you.
