Using and replacing the dust/bug canisters and HEPA filters:
The Atrix Express Plus IPM vacuum comes with two dust/bug cannisters with built-in HEPA filters. Canisters are easy to install in the unit--simply open the unit and pop the new canister in. Each canister holds about 1 quart worth of dust, debris or bugs. That's enough capacity to do several bed bug jobs.
Full canisters should be covered and thrown away after use (a sticker is included with each canister to cover up the entry hole so bugs cannot escape).

ANo. The Atrix Express Plus Bug Vacuum is made so that once the bugs are sucked in they cannot get out until you empty the reservoir.

ASome bugs may die do the force of the suction, but the vacuum is not designed to kill bugs as they enter. However, all bugs are sucked into the canister that is removed and discarded which does not allow bugs to crawl out of it while in the vacuum.
