Worth the Cost
By Matt on July 11, 2011The kit contained good quality and effective products. It was worth the cost when dealing with chemicals. On hot days, the protective eyewear does steam-up, which makes it difficult to see. The overcoat is made of tyvek and is durable.

Good investment, can be re-used

Verified PurchaseI wasn't intending to buy the entire basic safety kit, but it was cheaper to get the kit than to get mask/gloves separately so I went for it. Really glad I did so. The jump suit provided good coverage for my clothes, was easy to put on/off (and while it is disposable, it's also made of sturdy material), and I appreciated that the kit came with multiple pairs of gloves, goggles, and masks. Since my job was fairly light (spraying pesticide on my patio to deal with stink bugs and mosquitos) the kit did not get very mucked up, so I've stored it in my basement to use again when I have to respray in a few months. A good value!

AUnfortunately we do not carry these items in a small size, although we may look into it in the future. Most of our customers just roll up the sleeves and legs or safety pin them to fit their size. We apologize for the inconvenience.

AYes, we would recommend using our safety kit because bat droppings can contain certain elements that you would not want to breathe into your lungs. There is no secret to removing bat droppings; a putty knife to chip away at the droppings and a bucket is the usual items to use.

Must they be discarded after one use? if not, do they need to be cleaned or stored in a special way?

AIt will really depend on what chemicals you are using. If for instance you are using the Basic Safety Kit something that absolutely cannot come in contact with your skin, then you would need to dispose of the equipment after each use. In other cases you could reuse the equipment several times. Special cleaning and storage is not needed.
