HOW TO USE
Advanced Brush Killer Plus will kill or injure all woody plants contacted. Certain warm season grasses may experience temporary yellowing when sprayed to excess. If a desirable plant (other than grass) is accidentally sprayed, immediately rinse with plenty of water.
- Apply when wind is calm.
- Keep people and pets off treated areas until spray has dried.
- Do not apply to or around fruits or vegetables used for food.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Determine amount of spray solution to prepare – See “How Much to Use”.
- Make up spray solution by following directions specific to your sprayer – See “Sprayer Types”.
- Adjust sprayer nozzle to a coarse spray. Spray the weeds you want to kill until thoroughly wet but not dripping.
- Use a sheet of cardboard or plastic to protect desirable plants from accidental contact with the product.
To Kill Vines:
- For vines growing on desirable plants, cut the vine and treat as directed for stump removal.
To Kill Poison Ivy or Poison Oak:
- Contact with Poison Ivy or Poison Oak anytime of the year can cause an allergic reaction. Handle dead plants with rubber gloves. Dispose of plants and gloves in tightly sealed garbage bags.
To Kill Stumps:
- Completely cover freshly cut stump with undiluted product using a paintbrush. Do not reuse paintbrush for other uses. When discarding, wrap brush in newspaper and put in trash.

I purchased this product in the fall of 2012, to kill, out of control baltic ivy. I spayed a few times every 2 weeks. I noticed this spring that the product does work, although, I ended up pulling out the majority this spring. when the weather warms I will apply more to kill the remainder. some roots are still in the ground, and I want to make sure it all dies.

QIs Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus effective against thistles?
Will it kill adjacent yew bushes?
AThe Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus does have Canada Thistle listed on the label for controlled species. It does not specifically cover Yew bushes as whether or not it would harm them, however if they are a desirable plant you will want to shield them from any spray drift and try to direct the spray only to the thistle. Most Brush Killer products will harm neighboring plants if spray drifts or runs into the root system. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Is it effective against mature dormant trees? Someone online said to make a slit in the bark and paint it on. Is it dependent upon girdling the tree?
AIn order to kill a tree of any kind, you will first need to cut the tree first. Once that is done, you will use undiluted Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate on the stump. This will be applied with a paintbrush. Discard the paintbrush once complete with this project.

There is a tree beginning to grow, possibly maple, in my privot hedge. If I cut it to a stump, which would be about 3" in diameter, and brush on product, will it kill my hedge too?
A If you are just brushing the Bayer Advanced Brush Killer Plus Concentrate onto the stump directly it should not effect other plants in the area.
