I had a very thorough professional extermination for bedbugs some months back. I was complaining to the exterminator that I was still having some skin reactions that I found troubling. I was told that I was being paranoid. I went on for months spraying myself because I wasn't convinced they were gone. Using this product I was able to catch two bugs in the second week of monitoring rooms I had vacated for this test. Thanks to this product I knew I still had a problem and was able to get a whole house thermal treatment. Unfortunately the first thermal treatment was not fully effective as I set these monitors up right afterwards and caught two bugs after one week. With the Bed Bug Beacon I have had no issues claiming my 30 day guarantee on the second treatment because I have proof. I also have a better idea of where my problem areas are and have directed my current pest control company to treat these places directly. After treating my apartment and getting rid of lots of furniture. I felt the bed bug problem was over. I tested my feeling using this product in two places in my apartment and there were no bed bugs in the device during the time I had it in place - over 10 days in both places. This product helped me understand that the bedbug problem is gone.

This works

My exterminator had a dog come through my apt and it picked up on bedbugs in my closet. The problem is coming from other apartments. I caulked my closet and wanted to see if it was effective. I set up this trap and caught a first stage nymph. I am annoyed the caulking didn't help but at least I know I still have a problem. This is a great device.

Worked Well (I think!)

Most do not realize how important it is to identify what is or is not biting you. This will not rid you of bugs, but will let you know if you indeed have bedbugs and/or have treated successfully. We had bedbugs and treated. We went away and placed three of these in a large room. All were empty at the end and we have been bug free ever since!
