Bed Bug Kit #3

The Bed Bug Kit #3 provides you with the professional products necessary to do a complete bed bug treatment in your home or apartment. Plus, this kit includes three cans of Bedlam to treat more rooms and Gentrol IGR to stop the bed bug reproductive cycle. Unlike other kits you may find, the Do My Own Pest Control kits contain the most effective products available based on the most current research. This kit contains 1 x 8 oz. bottle of Cyonara 9.7 concentrate (makes 20 gallons), 1 x 10 oz. bottle of PyGanic Dust with Pyrethrins, 1 hand dusting tool, 3 x 16 oz. cans of Bedlam Bed Bug Spray and 2 vials of Gentrol IGR, 1 pint of Steri-Fab bed bug spray, plus a five page step-by-step guide. This kit was put together using the most current research and it contains the most effective products on the market to rid you of a bedbug infestation. Each kit includes a copy of our five page bedbug guide to help you through the treatment process.

 

Why do I need to use so many different products?

 
It is important to treat the many different areas that bedbugs hide. Each product included in the kit has a specific function to help eliminate a bedbug infestation.

 

Kit Contents:

 

Cyonara 9.7 (8oz): is a concentrated liquid residual insecticide. Mix 0.4 fl oz of concentrate with a gallon of water.  The finished solution should be applied with a one gallon hand sprayer as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Residual effectiveness will last up to three months. Try to make direct contact with as many bedbugs as possible. This product will not kill Bedbug eggs.

***Do NOT apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated with insecticides, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures.***

Steri-Fab: Steri-Fab is an alcohol based product that will evaporate after 10-20 minutes and leave no residual effect. Steri-Fab may be sprayed on almost any surface including those sensitive areas that you were not able to treat with other products.(Mattresses, sofas, bedding, dog beds, etc)  This product is one of the only products that recent research shows will kill bedbug eggs. Application: Spray in areas of bedbug activity, such as tufts and folds of mattresses, sofas, etc. (Steri-Fab must come in direct contact with bedbugs and bedbug eggs to be effective).

PyGanic 1% Pyrethrin Dust (10 oz. bottle): Dusts are great for applying under baseboards around the room,(this stops bedbugs from fleeing the room and spreading to other areas) for dusting on and inside the box spring itself, and for dusting in cracks and crevices where liquids may not go (such as in and behind picture frames, underneath furniture, in the cracks of dresser drawers, and in the joints cracks and hollow tubing of bed frames, etc). PyGanic Dust is best applied with the hand duster that is included with your kit. Apply in a fine coating on surfaces, and do not over-dust.  Leaving piles of dust will just cause the insect to walk around the dust and not through it.

 

Bellows Hand Duster: The bellows hand duster included with this kit should be used to apply the Drione dust to any cracks and crevices needed. By using the bellows hand duster you will be able to apply the correct amount of dust in the correct place.

 

2-Bottles Gentrol IGR (1oz): This product is an Insect Growth Regulator that prevents bed bugs from being able to reproduce, effectively stopping the breeding cycle of an infestation. Gentrol comes in a small brown bottle (1 oz.). Application: There are two ways to apply Gentrol IGR: (1) mix the 1 oz. bottle of Gentrol IGR with a gallon of the Cyonara/water solution so that you can spray both at the same time, or (2) add 1 oz of Gentrol to one gallon of water and using a gallon hand sprayer and apply in all the areas where you sprayed the Cyonara. DO NOT apply Gentrol IGR to bed linens or mattresses.

 

3 Cans Bedlam (17 oz): While Bedlam works as well as a concentrated liquid it comes in a convenient aerosol spray that may be sprayed on areas that other products cannot. Bedlam may be used for spot treatments on mattresses, upholstered furniture, drawers, bed frames, carpeted areas, curtains... You may also use Bedlam to knock down fleeing bedbugs after initial treatment of other insecticides.  Includes a straw tool for spraying into small cracks, crevices and other hiding places.

Recommended Accessories:

One Gallon Sprayer - If your kit comes with Cyonara Insecticide and/or Gentrol IGR we strongly recommend that you purchase a one gallon sprayer if you do not already have one. This sprayer makes mixing and applying liquid insecticides so much easier.

I did my homework about bedbug infestation and there is a good chance that these products will be effective, especially given the fact that I know exactly how to go about the process. Q  Does the Bed Bug Kit #3 really work and how long is it effective for? A The products in our Bed Bug Kits are the same products that you would pay a professional company to use.  The products in our kits are the best available and they do work, but how well they work all depends on how you as the applicator applies them.  You need to take your time and be very thorough when treating.  All of our kits come with full instructions.  As long as you follow those instructions and take your time you will have great success like most of our customers.  Each kit has enough product to treat at least 2 times.  Some infestations may require additional products depending on severity and size of the infestation.
