    Bellow Hand Duster

    By Bonita on 11/18/2011

    Verified Purchase

This product does its job extremely well. Emits a fine, consistent dust with little effort. But if you are chemically sensitive beware. Its bellows is made of some kind of rubber or plastic that gives off a very strong chemical smell. I am chemically sensitive and have had to enclose this duster in a thick plastic bag, to keep down the odor in my kitchen cabinet where I store this item. I have found that strong chemical off-gasing comes with many of the Chinese made products where the "price is right." If you are not chemically sensitive you should be very happy with the practically of the duster. I have used it to fight fleas in my apartment.

Item received was not as pictured

    By Nancy on 11/21/2012

    Verified Purchase

The Bellow Hand Duster I received was not as pictured - though I ordered it as pictured. The one I received had a red base and the glue around the wide rubber band that attached the middle rubber section to the base was hardened and cracked. When I squeezed the center part of the duster, the product I was using buffed out around the cracks and created a mess. I ended up re-gluing it and it worked OK.

    Bellows Duster

    By Jamie on 07/12/2014

    Verified Purchase

This is a less expensive version of the standard duster sold by other suppliers. The material used is thinner. It works, but I would not suggest purchasing it for daily commercial PCO use, as it will not last.

    No instructions

    By Kim on 10/22/2021

I'm not sure I'm using the duster correctly. The dust comes out in an erratic fashion. No instructions or other info was included in the shipment. Just the duster and nothing else. Weird.

    Good Design, Bad Smell!

    By Kirk on 02/29/2016

This duster is easy to use however, it has a very, very, very bad smell from plastic! I bought the JT Eaton to replace this one.

    Works well - once

    By Chemical on 08/01/2012

    Verified Purchase

This duster works well enough. If you hold it as instructed (cap down) you will have to shake it after every puff. One pro suggests putting a coin in it to help break up clumps when you shake it. However, don't expect to have it more than 2 or 3 months. The awful cheap rubber that it is made from disintegrates that quickly. It's not bad for a single job, but if you think you'll need a duster in the future get a professional one. (As an aside, who started calling this a "bellow" duster? It's a bellows. A bellow is a loud shout.)

Worked great until the bellows cracked soon after purchase.

    By Taiji on 08/19/2015

Lasted only a few months. If you know this is the lifespan potential, buy at your own risk. It worked really well until the bellows cracked....presumably just from the material drying out....going to try the B&G Bulb next.

    Bellow Hand Duster

    By Marty on 11/28/2015

Needs a better design. This applicator works, but takes a little experimenting and a little getting use to. I call it a puffer. You have to put several pebbles, ball bearings, etc., in with the powder to prevent it from caking. Then you need to shake it before each use, and most importantly, turn it upside down (spout/stem on top, and lid/plug on bottom) before you squeeze it. If the spout/stem is on the bottom, it will shoot out a heavy stream of powder. With the spout on top, and after shaking gently, squeeze the bellow gently, and see a small cloud of powder, indistinguishable from smoke, exit from the spout. That's all you need behind each switch and electrical cover plate. Also, sometime during the second year, the small plastic strip that holds the cap on the spout will probably break. Another reason this applicator needs a redesign.

    Unimpressed

    By Allen on 07/05/2023

Inconsistent functionality. Wouldn't buy again. Laughed when pro showed up with one & cursed their unit which was the same item reviewed here. I don't know what you're supposed to do if you need infrequent dusting I suppose this is the way to go. When this one wears out I won't buy another.
