    Q
Why do you say Bengal Roach Spray will kill roaches? Mine must be wearing suits of armor.
I used Bengal Roach Bombs and the Bengal Roach Spray. I still have roaches. I do not have a bug infestation just enough to drive me nuts and I want them gone before they do get really bad.
    A
Bengal Roach Spray is labeled for roaches but is not a professional grade product. It will flush them out of their hiding places. The roaches that do not come in contact with the treated areas will not be eradicated. The first thing you should know is that bombs are highly ineffective when trying to control roaches of any species. Bombs will only kill while they are going off (they leave no residual behind) and contrary to popular belief, they do not penetrate into walls or inside cabinets or under furniture, so it will only kill the roaches that come out while the bomb is dispersing. If you are looking to accurately, quickly, and completely eliminate the roaches in your home you will want to follow the steps outlined in our article How To Get Rid of Roaches, and use either of our Roach Control Kits accordingly. The products in our kits are professional grade items (just like the pros that come out use) and are put together to help you save money and get the results you are looking for the fastest. Roach problems do not develop over night and will not go away overnight, so patience and time will be needed for the products to do their job and get to the center of the colony you don't see. If you have any other questions after looking at our article and the roach kits, feel free to contact us anytime.

    Q
Do you have to leave the house after spraying Bengal Roach Spray?
    A

Bengal Roach Spray  is designed to be used in cracks and crevices, therefore it is not necessary to vacate your home when applying. As a general rule, when applying insecticides, you would want to keep people and pets out of the treating area until the product has fully dried.

    Q
If you spray Bengal Roach Spray on your counter top, can you clean it off after it dries?
Can you spray the Bengal roach spray on the counters wait for them to dry and then should you clean it off?
    A

Bengal Roach Spray can be applied to cracks and crevices; behind baseboards and sinks; under and behind sinks, cabinets, stoves, and refrigerators; around doors and windows; in crawl spaces and attics. The product will leave a residual and it can be reapplied every 4 weeks, if needed, so it should NOT be applied to food handling surfaces such as countertops. If you spray the product and then clean it off, you’ll be getting rid of the residual so it would be like wasting product.

    Q
Can you spray Bengal Roach Spray on electronics?
    A

No, you should not spray any chemical including Bengal Roach Spray on electronics.  If roaches are in electronics they are also elsewhere in your home and you need to treat the home.

One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

    Q
Do I need to clean Bengal Roach Spray after I spray it?
    A

Bengal Roach Spray can be applied to cracks and crevices; behind baseboards and sinks; under and behind sinks, cabinets, stoves, and refrigerators; around doors and windows; in crawl spaces and attics. The product will leave a short residual and it can be reapplied every 4 weeks if needed. If you spray the product and then clean it off, you’ll be getting rid of the residual so it would be like wasting product. However, this is not a professional-grade product and we would suggest a combination of products to fully eradicate a roach infestation. Please review our Roach Control page along with our guide on How To Get Rid of Roaches to learn more about controlling roaches and protecting your home with professional-grade products.

  • Asked by Thomas from Dayton, Tx

    Q
If I use the Bengal Roach Spray, will it hurt our bird?
    A

According to the product label, you want to cover exposed food, remove pets, birds and cover aquariums before using the Bengal Roach Spray. After the spray is dry, you may return the animals back into those areas. Be sure you do not use residual sprays in areas such as bird cages or other places where birds are known to land since they can be very sensitive to insecticides.

    Q
What is meant by "dry areosol" with Bengal Roach Spray?
    A

Bengal Roach Spray is not a professional grade product so we do not have much information to provide on this item, since we mostly carry it for customer convenience. Typically a dryer application aerosol would be one that applied the chemical in a smaller particle size so that the solution does not wet the surface you are spraying as much or as quickly. You would want to speak to the manufacturer directly for more specific information regarding their chemical. You can reach Bengal at (225) 753-1313.

    Q
How long is the Bengal Roach Spray intended to go off once activated? Activated the spray and as we were leaving the room, the spray shut off in under a minute. Is this normal?
    A

Bengal Roach Spray is a direct spray dry aerosol that should be applied directly to cracks and crevices to flush roaches out of their hiding places. This is not an aerosol fogger that is activated and then disperses a mist/fog into a room or treatment area.

To apply Bengal Roach Spray, simply place the extension tube that comes with the can into the top of the can and press the spray button. Apply to cracks and crevices along baseboards, under and behind sinks, cabinets, stoves, and refrigerators; around doors and windows; in crawl spaces and attics.
