The B&G 2 Quart Hand Duster is the ideal tool for application of dust to large areas such as attics and crawl spaces where roaches, ants, silverfish, carpenter ants, and termites love to hide. Great for home or light commercial use. This duster holds up to a pound and a half of your favorite dust (such as Drione, Timbor, Borid, etc) or 2 quarts of granular, and features a large 3.5” opening for easy filling. As the dust is discharged from the duster, it is electrostatically charged for ready adherence to vertical and upside down surfaces. Using the B&G Hand Duster is easy to operate: simply fill the duster, shake it and push the air tube manually to dust. Also Includes 12" extension tube for broad cast applications and hard to reach areas. When using this or any other equipment to dispense pesticide, always remember to wear a face mask and eye protection. Note: This hand duster does not come with an insecticide dust. B&G 2 Quart Duster 1152-A

This works very well in self-guiding applications of dust without wasting product. I thought about the electric B&G model but that unit tethers you to a cord that can snag and costs more than double the cost this unit. This unit is light and allows good freedom of movement through attic trusses and beams. Unit comes with an array of applicator tips and extension rods for close and longer throw applications. It stores plenty of product avoiding the delay associated with refills. This is all the DIYer like me needs to thoroughly dust an attic in a single-family residence. Easy to return unused product to original container and clean and it stores compactly after use. It appears to be well made and sturdy. Note that additional applicator tips are stored inside the push rod and are accessed through by removing a pressure fitted (not threaded) PVC cap on the end of push rod. That cap can be very tight and difficult to remove. Customer service on this issue was excellent.

The duster does not perform well at throwing the granules. I bought it for that purpose. The granules barely come out of it and you have to constantly shake the duster for that small amount to come out. Very disappointed after spending 115.00. DMOPC was not knowledgeable fo the product either.

Love this product. Makes dusting simple and works great. I also used it with ant bait and works but hard to measure correct dosage so I will stay with the hand spreader

QB&G 2 Quart Duster 1152-A "throw" vs. dust mill (crank-type) duster
Which is the more effective/efficient product for general attic dusting (for, e.g., a 2500 sq ft home)? I could use the electric B & G product, but there are regions in the attic where I would prefer to use one of the above products. Thanks!
AThe B&G 2 Quart Duster is ideal for large areas, such as attics and crawl spaces. The only drawback would be that it is a hand duster An electric duster can be used to treat the same type of areas. It also holds more dust than the 2 Quart Duster. The main difference between them of course is that one is electric and the other is not. We would recommend using the one that is more ideal for your personal use.

QWhat kind of dust do you use inside this Duster and how much does one need?
I have a regular sized home about 3000 sq ft.
AThe B&G 2 Quart Duster 1152-A may be used with a variety of insecticide dusts as well as granules. Unfortunately, we cannot make a dust recommendation without first knowing more about the target insect. However, you can browse through our line of insecticide dusts, just be sure to read the product label to ensure the dust you select is labeled for your target pest and the application site.
QAre there longer extension tubes available for the BG 1152A duster?
Are there longer extension tubes available? I have a large fully enclosed deck that I need to dust inside for paper wasps.
AThe 1152-A duster does not come with a longer extension. How long of an extension do you need? We do carry a dustick which can dust from 4 feet up to 21 feet away.

QHow is powder dispersed from B&G 2 Quart Duster 1152-A? Do you have to squeeze the bulb or do you actually throw the dust?
I'm looking for a tool to apply powder to the backs of our cattle. They will stand still for me while they are eating so I only have a few minutes to get the job done. Would you recommend this tool?
A B&G 2 Quart Duster 1152-A distributes dust when you pump it. As long as the product you are using is labeled to be applied to cattle, this would be a great applicator for you.
