    Q
Can weed killer be used instead of bug killer in a B&G 2 Gallon Sprayer B&G?
I want to be able to use weed killer as well as bug killer in the b & G sprayer.
    A
There should be no problem using herbicides or insecticides in a B&G sprayer. Be sure to rinse your sprayer thoroughly between uses to avoid accidentally contaminating the next product.

    Q
Can it be used for spraying carpet cleaning chemicals?
    A

The tanks will not hold up to bleach, ammonia or any acidic product like that. If it is a water based carpet cleaning product without any of those other chemicals in it, then it should be fine. You should be aware that if you use bleach, it will void any warranty on the sprayer from any manufacturer defects. The carpet cleaning products normally carry a chemical in them that is a “fabric protector” and this chemical can sometimes cause the hoses on the tanks to become less flexible and brittle. There is a B&G sprayer that is specifically recommended or Carpet Cleaning products, B&G PC#11003701 and it costs about $350.00. If you are interested in purchasing this item please let us know.

    Q
Can this sprayer effectively spray Aquatain? Which is an oil based pesticide.
We currently have sprayers that are in use but the Aquatain comes out very weak. It just drops like 2 feet in front of the applicant. We need a sprayer that can send the oil based pesticide at least 15-20 feet, as we work in very dense foliage, and some water holes, we cannot reach. But we need the pesticide to reach, it would take to much time to access physically. But if the sprayer could push the Aquatain pesticide further, this would aid our work greatly. Do you currently have a product that can provide this service, or can you test your sprayers, and see if any qualify. Thank you.
    A

The B&G Sprayer 2 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N224-S) is appropriate for most herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides, unless the product label of what you are using specifically prohibits application with a hand pump sprayer, and it is capable of spraying several feet.  That being said, we do not carry a product called Aquatain, so we are not familiar with its application.  We would suggest that you contact B&G directly at 800-544-8811 to be sure that this sprayer will work for your specific needs.

    Q
Would the B&G Sprayer 2 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N224-S) be suitable for larger spraying areas for outdoor use?
I am looking for a sprayer that puts out more product that the smaller 1 gallon B&G. Would this sprayer be suitable for larger spraying areas for outdoor use?
    A

B&G Sprayer 2 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N224-S) is a 2 gallon sprayer so would hold more mix than the 1 gallon so you would not have to fill it as often.  Generally a gallon covers approx 1000 sq ft.  We do also have backpack sprayers that are more popular for larger outdoor areas.

    Q
Does the B&G Sprayer 2 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N224-S) come with a relief valve for the pressure?
    A

No, B&G sprayers such as the 2 Gallon N224-S sprayer do not come with a separate pressure relase valve. According to the sprayer manual: "Open tank cap slowly to release air before removing; keep tank upright when releasing pressure."

    Q
Which tip for the B&G Sprayer 2 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N224-S) would work best for applying a fine mist spray?
i am looking on purchasing a 2-gallon B&G sprayer, and I was wondering what tip would be the best option for a fine mist for baseboards - the standard tip or the CC tip?
    A

Both the standard tip and the CC tip for the B&G 2 Gallon Sprayer feature 2 sizes of pin-stream and 2 sizes of fan spray patterns.  The difference is that the CC tip has a small opening to allow you to insert a small straw to perform a crack and crevice treatment.
