    Q
My B&G sprayer is leaking out of the tip. Everything is tight. What could be wrong?
    A
Usually, if your B&G sprayer is leaking out of the tip, then you need a tip gasket, part 4190.  It is a small o-ring that goes around the end of the wand when you unscrew the 4 way tip or crack and crevice tip that you have on the wand.

    Q
What are the recommended number of pumps for a B&G 1-gallon sprayer for adequate pressure?
    A
There is no certain amount of pumps in particular for your B&G sprayer. The amount of pressure will depend on where you are treating and how full the sprayer is. If your sprayer is full all the way to the top, that does not leave much room for air and you could probably only physically pump it two times. If your sprayers was half way full you would need to pump it several times…5-8 times to fill the large space with air to force the product out. Really you just need to pump the sprayer until you feel tension on the pump handle and it becomes difficult to pump any longer. The B&G sprayer is the best sprayer available and it can handle a high amount of pressure.

    Q
How do you safely clean the inside, wand, and hoses of the B&G sprayer?
    A
You should use the B&G Deluxe Sprayer Maintenance Kit to clean your B&G 1 Gallon Sprayer.  It comes with solution, brushes, and full instructions from B&G to properly clean the sprayer.  Because the sprayer consists of brass and stainless steel you should use special brushes when cleaning which the kit comes with.

    Q
Can the B&G 1gal. Primeline be used to spray fruit trees? How high up will it spray?
    A
The B&G gallon sprayer can be used to spray anything you need to spray.  However, like most hand pump sprayers it is limited on how high it can reach.  Typically it would not really reach any higher than 10 feet.  We do carry a sprayer for reaching high areas normal sprayers will not and for treating large trees.  It is called a Chapin slide pump sprayer.  We do have a video that shows the sprayer in action on the Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer page.

    Q
I am debating on getting either the 18 inch or 24 inch wand. Any insight would be helpful.
    A
The B&G 1 Gallon Sprayer + 18-inch wand - N124-S-18 is one of our most popular wand sizes for pest control applications. Either would be a great choice though and both spray about 10 feet. Please provide more information about your application needs and we will gladly provide you with additional advice.

    Q
How can I clean a B&G that was left in storage for 2 years with chemical left in it that dried up and rusted??
The B&G seems to be in decent shape, but it has a lot of old residue and looks like all of the gaskets and things need to be replaced . I cannot seem to scrub it enough. Do I need to scrap the whole thing except the can? Id like to get it back to working order but it looks in rough shape when I get into it.
    A
For this situation, we will suggest you contact the manufacturer B&G to see if the sprayer is salvageable. They will know best from your description whether it can be used and cleaned out well enough to not affect the future chemicals to use, and whether or not it would be cost effect for you to buy all the parts needed to get it back into working condition. Sometimes after you calculate the cost to repair the gaskets, seals and cords, you wind up close to the cost of a new sprayer. You can reach B&G at (678)-688-5601. If they determine you can just replace certain parts of the sprayer, we carry almost every item you would need and you can contact us for the replacement parts.

    Q
Which size B&G sprayer is recommended for a residential property?
I'm looking into the 9" Wand versus the 18" wand. I'm trying to figure out what will be the best investment for the property and if the extra length is worth the extra cost. Thank you.
    A

The extra wand length on the B&G Sprayer 1 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N124-S-18) vs the 9 inch wand would just make applications easier by you not having to bend down as far to apply products.  The 18 inch is generally the more popular sprayer for this reason.

    Q
Can I use my B&G 1 gallon sprayer for lawn control as well as pest control?
I have a one-gallon B&G stainless sprayer, I wanted to know if I can also use it for weed-b-gon spot spraying as well as insect control.
    A

It is best to have two seperate sprayers, one for herbicides and one for insecticides.  If this is not possible, you will need to triple rinse the entire sprayer, tubing, tank etc after each and every use.  Never leave mixed solution in your sprayer, as this can cause damage to your equiptment.

    Q
Should I get the 18-inch wand or 24-inch wand?
I am mostly going to be using this sprayer outside to begin with. I will end up using it inside at a later date, though not right away. I will mostly be spraying insecticide with it at first, but may end up gravitating towards liquids to control weeds/etc. What would you recommend?
    A
Most folks go with the  B&G 1 Gallon Sprayer + 18-inch wand - N124-S-18. It would meet your needs for your treatment perfectly.

Whats the proper way to store your B&G sprayer when not in use for several months?

The B&G Sprayer 1 Gallon 18 in. Wand (N124-S-18) should be triple rinsed after use and the wand flushed with just water to ensure any residual product is removed and allowed to dry before storing.  Be sure to keep out of freezing temperatures so that the brass wand is not damaged.

    Q
Can the B&G 1 Gallon Sprayer N124-S-18 be used for termite injection into a slab?
    A

If you drilled the holes 12 inches apart, then you would have 10 holes over 10 feet that you are trying to fill with 4 gallons.  This works out to be a little less than half a gallon per hole. To fill these I would recommend using the one gallon sprayer on a "pin stream" setting so you can force the liquid down the hole and not splash it everywhere. You could use the B&G 1 Gallon Sprayer N124-S-18. You can also use a funnel and pour the termiticide down the holes. For more information on treating for termites, please click the link below.
