Bifen XTS prevents and controls termite infestations in and around structures and constructions.
Bifen XTS used in and around structures and building construction will prevent and control termite infestations.
To institute a barrier between the wood and the termites in the soil, the chemical dilution must be effectively dispersed in the soil. It is important to remove unnecessary materials that contain cellulose and wood from around foundation walls, crawl spaces (inside of structure), and porches, and fix damaged plumbing and construction grade in order to deny termite access to moisture. Treat the soil around untreated structural wood in contact with soil.
Subterranean Termite Control
* See label for complete application instructions
Bifen Xts may be used as a broadcast treatment. To accomplish uniform control when applying to dense grass foliage, use volumes of up to 10 gallons per 1000 square feet. For low water volume usage, less than 2 gallons/1000 square feet, addition of a non-ionic or silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) is recommended, as is immediate irrigation of treated area with at least 0.25 inches of water following application to ensure efficacy of sub-surface pests including mole crickets.
Ornamentals and Trees:
dilute 0.26 to 1.28 fl. oz. of Bifen Xts per 10 gallons of water and apply at the rate of 10 gallons per 4,356 square feet. One gallon of finish spray will treat 435 sq. ft. If a higher volume application is needed to sufficiently cover the plant canopy, Bifen Xts can be diluted in large volumes of water and applied through low volume equipment as long as the maximum label rate (1.28 fluid ounces per 4,356 square feet) is not exceeded.

Another great product from Domyownpestcontrol.com
By C. in Batavia, IL on 07/27/2011
Bought four bottles of this stuff to control ants, mosquitos, and japanese beetles. 2oz. in a 2 gallon sprayer and presto! No more bugs. Some of the best stuff I ever bought. About to mix up a batch for the hose end sprayer to do my trees and shrubs. VERY confident it'll take down most anything that it comes into contact with. May seem expensive at first, but the premeasure cup takes the guesswork out of the picture and I'll probably have enough for 2-3 years. Try finding something that works so well in ANY store and not only will you be disappointed, but will get something that probably contains less than 0.5% of what this stuff has. I buy ALL my pest control products from Domyownpestcontrol.com and have NEVER been disappointed with any of their products. Highly recommended.

I live in NM. I purchased the "Bifen XTS" in January. We had a warm Saturday so I mixed and sprayed. Even with the cold weather there were dead roaches the next days. We had 2 weeks of extreme cold weather and snow. Once it started to warm up in the 50 plus temps the roaches were coming out and dropping dead. It continued to stay strong after going through the cold and snow. Good chemical, Irecommend it.

I purchased Bifen XTS to replace my overpriced local extermination company. They asked over $900 for a five year retreatment plus a $125 a year membership fee and $90 per visit fee four times a year. If this product performs as advertised, I will be hundreds of dollars ahead in no time. After spraying the outside perimeter of my home, I sprayed several Fire Ant mounds. After making my rounds I checked each mound to find that it destroyed the ants completely. I have not seen any new mounds in two weeks. My faith is growing for Bifen XTS.

Used primarily to control earwings, also takes out lots of other pests since it's broad spectrum. I didn't realize how annoying the crickets climbing up the walls into the under eves were until they were gone. Mixed at maximum label (.12%) to knock down a continuing outdoor Earwig population. The local bifenthin concentrations start at .3% undiluted and you have to mix down from there and would knock out the living population but degrade as more hatched. The XTS oil based seemed like a more durable solution and it's labeled for a higher concentration that seems to be really put the hurt on multiple generations on a single application. Plan on repeating in a few weeks to re-enforce the application, putting an end to this mutli-year problem inherited from prior occupants. Also have Bifen IT water based for indoor and wood to prevent possible staining. PLEASE DO NOT USE ON YOUR FLOWERING PLANTS, this stuff will annihilate your pollinators and the bees have enough things to deal with without chemical warfare.

Bifent XTS review.

Container makes it easy to accurately measure out the needed amount. The data sheet if fairly easy to follow and this takes the guess work out of the calculating gallons per area of coverage. I used the product for June Bug grubs and it did the job.

Great Product! Must have for pest..
By Johnny in Jacksonville, FL on 11/26/2015
After I fired my pest control company for missing appointments and ineffective treatments, I had to make a decision. I called numerous other companies, but none wanted to handle my biggest issue of wasp on second story eaves. They all said they would only go up 10 feet or so. I decided to get my own sprayer, pressure washer, and pest products. I purchased Bifen after reading numerous good reviews. I added 3.5 ounces to my three gallon spray and pumped up the pressure. I was just able to reach the wasp hives on the eaves 20 or so feet up. I made several batches and went all around my home and about five feet out. That was in June. I did not see anytjing crawling outside the house for nearly 2 weeks. We still had still dealt with occasional earwigs inside the home after heavy rains. I put Boric acid and DE inside wall outlets and puffed Sevin dust around doors and windows. After another week or so, we saw no insects inside the house. In October I did another spray around the home's perimeter, just because. Now, about those wasp, that every pest company told me I could not prevent. They said the best thing was to keep knocking down tje hive until they decide to stop building in that place. After the initial spray on theie hives, which I couldn't knock down, they never returned. It's now Thanksgiving. I had one other hive pop up in a different area in September, but I sprayed it as soon as noticed. Honest truth, no wasp around my home. When they do return, I know how to handled them. This also get rid of spiders. I used to find spiders in certain areas around the roof of my home and tiny ones within my home around the bathrooms. I also used to find a lot of huge dead ones in the bottom of the pool. Since I started using Bifen, the spiders are gone. Great product for most anything that crawls and works wonders on wasps. I highly recommend.

You can stop shopping now
By Bill in Tucson, Arizona on 11/02/2015
For a termite/bug killer that actually works. I've been in ALL the stores, ALL the catalogs, seen all the TV adds, and spent a ton of money buying watered down crap. I live where termites go to retire and eat well for the rest of they're lives. Of all the products out there, this is the one that when applied, ran the little critters right out of town or killed them faster than they could leave.Granted, you dont want to use this inside as its oil based, but its the ONLY thing that works and really keeps them out. One of the nice side effects is the fact it kills EVERYTHING that crawls around and you'll find that out when you use it and a few days later you find creatures dead you didn't even know you had. This is not rocket science....just try it...you'll get quit shopping for the kritter killer cause this one works

Began to work immediately. one thing I did not realize is that even though it says great for water resistance it also breaks down under ultra violet/sunlight. Would the Bifen IT have been better to get a longer life??
All insecticides will break down in UV rays. Bifen IT is no exception. You can expect about a 4 week residual outdoors with most insecticides. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help!

Economical solution to common pest problem
By Bud in Clermont FL on 11/18/2014
This product has worked well for me here in FL. It does have a pretty strong odor when applied so I do not use it indoors. Best for perimeter spraying and targeting bugs outdoors. Do not leave mixed solution in a sprayer as it will gum up the nozzle. Mix and use only what you are going to use immediately. Clean sprayer completely after use.

I live in Tucson Arizona. Home to every type and sort of poisonous insect know to man. Until now, Scorpions, Black Widows etc., have just had their run of the place. Since laying the BIFEN XTS down, all matters and forms of these critters have just flat out died! I also really like the fact that this is also a very potent termiticide! 200% recommend!

QWhat is the difference between Bifen XTS and Bifen IT?
I want to use this in a backpack mister/blower for mosquitoes. Will one work better than the other? Also how does this compare to Permethrin SFR?
ABifen I/T is our most popular choice for mosquito control. The Bifen XTS is the same product, just in a higher concentration. For mosquito control you do not need the higher concentration, it is not necessary. Bifen I/T would also be a better solution then permethrin because permethrin breaks down quicker in sunlight and the Bifen I/T only needs to be applied every 30 days whereas permethrin would need to be applied every two weeks. The most important thing to remember when treating for mosquitoes is that they hang out on the underside of leaves and shrubs. You should treat all shrubs, bushes and trees around the outside patio or wherever you hang out at around the house. You should also treat the tree line in your yard near the forest if one exists. Remember to not only treat the main bush or shrub but also the underside of the leaves.
QWill Bifen XTS harm pets?
ANo. Bifen XTS will not harm pets when used as directed on the product label. All pets and people (except for the applicator) should be out of the area while the application is being made, and they can return as soon as the treated area is dry.
03/25/2013 Adam from Brasnon, Mo
QWhat is the residual time of Bifen XTS & how long will it keep bugs away when sprayed?
ABifen XTS will have a residual of about 4-8 weeks depending on rain and UV rays in the given area. Bifen XTS will not repel insects but instead will kill them within 24 hours of contact.
QHow much Bifen XTS would you use in a 60 gallon spray unit?
AThe proper dilution rate of Bifen XTS is .32 of an ounce per gallon of water. This works out to be about 19 ounces for 60 gallons of water, or a little more than 1/2 of a quart bottle.
QWill rain after an application of Bifen XTS reduce the effectiveness of the product?
I applied it to my yard. About 45 minutes after I finished the application, it rained(moderate to light) for about an hour. Also, how long does it take to see results. I have a flea problem, and I am trying to eliminate them.
ATypically, Bifen XTS as well as many other liquid insecticides only need about 30 minutes to dry. Once dry, they can hold up to rain rather well. However, it is much easier for the product to bond to porous surfaces like concrete and siding then grass and your lawn. You may want to apply again just to be safe when there is not rain in the forecast for at least 24 hours. Typically, for fleas it can take a week or two to see results. You should treat every 14 days for fleas. It usually takes at least 2 to 3 treatments since Bifen XTS or any other product will kill the eggs. You need to treat every 14 days, 2 to 3 times, so you make sure the product is strong enough to kill the hatched eggs every 2 weeks.
04/27/2015 John from Maurepas
QWhat is the shelf life of Bifren XTS after mixing?
ABifen XTS should only be mixed when you are ready to use. All finished solution should be applied within 24 hours of mixing.
QI have chiggers and want to know when and how often to spray for them.
I live in the bay area of No. Calif. and last summer I was bitten terribly by these things. How do I find where they are breeding?
ABifen XTS is labeled for chiggers. You will use 1/6 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This can be used every 30 days outdoors. Chiggers normally prefer moist habitats such as swamps and bogs, rotten logs and stumps.
05/07/2014 Vincent from Richmond, Va
QWhat is the application rate of Bifen XTS for deployment around outside house foundation ?
Looking to stop pests & bugs from entering my house. In instruction label, it appears to say 1 gallon per 10 linear foot. True?
07/25/2013 Brian from Lansing, Michigan
QWhat ratio do I mix Bifen XTS with water to kill fleas ?
ABifen XTS is a little but different than most other insecticides. When using this product you will want to make sure you are getting correct usage rate of .15 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft in whatever amount of water you need to cover 1,000 sq ft. In this case water just acts as a carrier. If you need 1 gallon of water to cover 1,000 sq ft you will use .15 fl oz of Bifen XTS per gallon of water over 1,000 sq ft.
07/22/2013 Virginia from Girard Ga.
QWhat is the yard area coverage ?
AThe proper dilution rate of Bifen XTS is .32 of an ounce per gallon of water. Each gallon of water used will on average cover 1000 sq/ft so a quart will cover roughly 2 1/2 acres.
10/21/2012 Hank from Florida
Qwhat is the shelf life of opened not mixed Bifen xts?
AYou should use the Bifen XTS within 3 years of the date of purchase.
06/06/2012 Ron from Roseburg, Or.
QWhat is the correct usage rate of Bifen XTS when treating mountain pine beetles using a 2 gal sprayer?
I am using a 2 gal sprayer & need the correct ratio of Bifen xts to water.
AWhen treating for mountain pine beetles the product label recommends using 2.0 pints of product per 100 gallons of water. If you only need to mix 2 gallons at a time you will 0.64 oz of Bifen XTS diluted in 2 gallons of water. Treat the main trunk from the base of the tree to at least halfway into the live crown spraying the tree directly and until the bark is completely wet (usually 1 to 4 gallons of spray per tree). Be sure to read the Bifen XTS product label for complete usage instructions.
10/12/2011 John from Ottawa, Illinois
QIs the Bifen XTS safe to use inside the home (at a lower concentration)?
ABifen XTS is not labeled for indoor use. We do carry Bifen IT which contains the same active ingredient as the Bifen XTS but is a water based formula.
QDoes the higher concentration of Bifen XTS make it superior to Bifen IT for normal outdoor spraying?
ABifen XTS does not really make it that much better than the normal Bifen IT, its just that one quart container can make much more than the equivalent Bifen IT. The normal mixture rate of Bifen IT is one ounce per gallon of water. When using Bifen XTS, you only need about a third of an ounce to make the same treatment. You can make many more gallons of solution from one container of Bifen XTS than you can with the normal Bifen IT.
QCan Bifen XTS be applied with a hose-end sprayer?
i see you recommend this product with the use of a poly sprayer (as well as for use with some others, such as the Bifen IT and Talstar P)...but can it also be used/applied with a hose-end sprayer?
AYou can use Bifen XTS in a hose end sprayer as long as it can be set to the correct product/water ratio. We recommend using the Chapin hose end sprayer. This sprayer is super user friendly and can even be set to spray very small concentrations.
