    How far can a Birchmeier backpack sprayer spray? Looking to spray insecticide on my house.

    Like most backpack sprayers, the Birchmeier backpack sprayer can typically spray 10 to 15 feet.  There is one hand pump sprayer on the market that can reach up to 30 feet which we happen to carry called a slide pump sprayer.

    Is there a particular grease that must be used with the Birchmeier 4 Gallon (15K) Backpack Sprayer?
    Will using the wrong kind void the warranty?
    A

    There is not a Birchmeier specific brand of grease or lubricant that must be used with the Birchmeier 4 Gallon Backpack Sprayer and similar sprayers; however, you should use lubricant that is designed to be used with this type of machinary and apply according to the instructions of the particular kind you are using. One representative from Birchmeier recommended using Texas Red lithium grease for optimal results.

    The Birchmeier Iris 15 L (4 Gallon) Backpack Sprayer (10960005) cannot be switched. It is right handed only.

    Does the Birchmeier come with the fog to jet adjustable nozzle?
    Was going to order this nozzle for it (285-025-99) but it looks like it might come as the standard nozzle already.

    The Birchmeier 4 Gallon (15K) Backpack Sprayer comes with an adjustable hollow cone nozzle only (Duro-nozzle) not the mist to jet nozzle/valve.

    What is the most common tank size?
    How large of a tank is most common with the pest control companies? Your professional opinion is appreciated. If the pesticide solution is mixed in the am, is it alright to keep it in the sprayer for an 8 - 10 hr work day? Will the solution have an effect on the sprayer if left in the tank too long?

    Four gallon tanks are common for backpack sprayers applied by professionals. We recommend discarding any mixed solution after 24hrs. It is also important to rinse your tank, wand and nozzle to prolong the life of your equipment.

    Can you help me with leaking of my Birchmeier 4 Gallon from the bottom weep hole
    Liquid constantly leaks from the bottom a weep hole looking thing. I tried to silicone it and still leaks. Took it all apart twice, everything looks good.

    What is the difference between the standard cone nozzle and the other nozzles?
    This will be my first backpack sprayer purchase. Going to start of using it for a couple of applications of bug juice and log wash for a log home. Then going to use it for general pesticides. Would the nozzle that came with it be acceptable? If there is another nozzle that may be better could you link to that please? Thanks.

    When choosing a cone nozzle, it is dependent on the drop size you are wanting and what you are spraying. The adjustable cone nozzle that comes with the Birchmeier 4 Gallon Backpack Sprayer is a hollow cone nozzle. This nozzle gives you a wide cone spray with medium drop size.     Is the Birchmeier 4 Gallon (15k) Backpack Sprayer (109600001) capable of spraying concrete sealer?
    A

    No, standard Birchmeier sprayers such as the 4 Gallon (15K) Backpack Sprayer (109600001) should not be used to apply harsh chemical such as concrete sealer. Neither the seals nor the other components would hold up to these materials. We do sell other sprayers that can be used for concrete sealant, such as the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gallon (1949). The Chapin Concrete sprayer can be used for form oil and curing compound applications, but not for acetones. If you are only needing to spray a chemical like this one time, you could use an inexpensive sprayer such as the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer 20000, and then discard the sprayer after use. (We encourage you to check with local waste disposal agencies for proper disposal.) Please let us know if you have further questions.
