    How to use Bonide Bontone Rooting Powder?
    Do I need to dissolve it in a water
    A

    Application Instructions per the Bonide Bontone Rooting Powder product label: Take cuttings from a vigorous healthy plant. Remove any leaves or flowers at the base of the cutting. Stir cut ends in this product. Plant treated cuttings in a rooting medium such as potting soil. Mist regularly.

    Keep rooting medium moderately moist until roots are established. Treated cuttings should not have less than a 60°F Temperature.

    General Treatment of Seeds, Bulbs, Corms and roots of ornamental plants: Place this product and bulbs, corms or roots into a sealed bag or container. Shake well to deposit a light coating. 1 ¼ ounces of this product should treat approximately 2,800 average cuttings

    Bonide Bontone II Rooting Powder is only labeled for use in rooting mediums like soil, it would not be recommended for water plantings.

    Can I mix Bonide Bontone Rooting Powder with water and apply it to new sod and outdoor transplants?
    I have laid down sod, and transplanted one outdoor plant from a pot into the ground. I want to stimulate root growth. Is watering with a Bontone Rooting Powder mix the way to go?

    Bonide Bontone Rooting Powder is only labeled for transplanting and root cuttings of plants.  It cannot be used for sod.  You can use it for any other plants you need to transplant as directed on the product label.
