    Is Bonide Weed Beater ULTRA harmful to pets?
    A

    Bonide Weed Beater ULTRA is pet safe if used as directed on the label. Pets should not be present during treatment. Once the product has had time to dry completely pets can resume normal activity.

    can i apply if it rains the next day?

    Yes, you can apply Bonide Weed Beater ULTRA if you are expecting rainfall the following day after your application. Please keep in mind that you should not apply it immediately before rainfall, and should not irrigate or water the lawn for 24 hours following your application. Also, be sure to delay mowing 1 to 2 days before or after your application to ensure proper uptake of the herbicide.

    What is the rate per gallon for Bonide Weed Beater Ultra that I should use for a lawn?
    I'm using an Ortho Dial and Spray.

    Bonide Weed Beater Ultra is applied at the rate of 1.5-2.4 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for cool-season grasses, or 0.75-1.8 oz. per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. for warm-season grasses.  The manufacturer recommends using a hand-pump or backpack sprayer to apply to ensure the most accurate application.

    For best results, Bonide Weed Beater ULTRA should not be applied when you are expecting rainfall within 24 hours.  If rain occurs within 12 hours, retreatment may be neccessary.

    Bonide Weed Beater ULTRA can be applied to St. Augustine. Mix 0.75 - 1.8 fl. oz. of this product per one (1.0) gallon of water for treatment of approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. Apply any time the emerged broadleaf weeds are susceptible.

    What is the maximum application temperature when using Bonide Weed Beater Ultra?
    A

    According to the Bonide Weed Beater Ultra product label, this product should not be applied in temperatures above 85 degrees to prevent injury. It is recommended to apply the product in the early morning hours or late evening hours when the temperatures are below 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Call I use Bonide Weed Beater Ultra and fertilize at the same time?
    A

    Bonide Weed Beater Ultra states on the product label: Certain spray liquid fertilizers and tank mixtures may reduce selectivity on the turgrass.  We would not recommend applying a fertilizer at the same time for this reason.  You should wait at least 24-48 hours between applications.

    Bonide Weed Beater Ultra can be applied and you can reseed two weeks after spraying if used as directed. If you have already seeded, you will need to wait for three mowings and the turf is established prior to application.
