Curative grub control products, like Dylox, usually work best when the grubs are small and actively feeding near the surface. Merit or other imidacloprid based products (Imidigold, Dominion 2L) work best early in the season and should be applied prior to egg hatch. You should contact your local coopertaive extension office and speak to the master gardener on staff to determine the best time to apply each product in your region.
