Can I apply Hi-Yield Garden, Pet, and Livestock Dust to the entire chicken run, on ground as well, without harming the chickens should they ingest it?

The pen is overrun with fire ants and small brown ants. I cant find their mounds, (we live in the wilderness) so i want to dust with this product. Is it safe for my chickens to peck the ground for feed/seeds that have fallen on dusted ground in their outdoor run/covered range pen?

Answer:

Hi-Yield Garden, Pet, and Livestock Dust per the manufacturer, can safely be applied to chicken runs. Also, we were informed it's safe if they are pecking, too. We would recommend to keep the chickens out of the treated area until the dust has settled.
