Jonathan from Denver, Co writes

Can Bonide Malathion be used as a drench to control root aphids? Can it be tank mixed with other insectisides?

Answer:

Bonide Malathion 50E is labeled to be used as a foliar spray. It is a contact kill for a variety of insects and is not labeled to be used as a drench. It can be mixed with other insecticides unless the label states otherwise.

If you are looking for a systemic treatment for root aphids, Merit 2F is a very good product. It is labeled to be used in/on turfgrass, sod farms, fruit and nut Trees, interior plantscapes, and ornamental landscapes.
