Can Nuvan Strips be used Behind Electrical Plates?

Can I place a Nuvan strip behind the light switch electrical plates, then replace plates and seal edges with duct tape? I already placed DE back there, but seems like the vapor from the strips would work better and reach further into the walls for better protection.

Answer:

Nuvan Prostrips would not be something you would use to treat around eletrical outlets with as that area still circulates air through the rest of your home (still a wall void like your baseboard) and not only would the vapor not be able to build up like its supposed to (like when placed in an enclosed bag or box) but it also would not be safe to do so. Nuvan strips are not to be used where people regularly occupy the area. You would be much better off getting rid of the bedbugs using the appropriate chemicals like in our Bed Bug Kits.  Or sticking with the dust you have already used in those areas. You can also see the steps needed to eliminate bedbugs in ALL different areas of the home by reviewing our Bed bug Guide.
