Can I use clippings from shrubs that have been treated with Talstar in compost for my vegetable garden?

After letting clippings from bushes and shrubs around my house dry in sun for 2-3 months, can i use the clippings in a compost to fertilize my vegetable garden? Will the vegetables be ok to harvest?

Answer:

As long as you are not going for an organic garden, using the clippings should be fine. Talstar is not a systemic insecticide so it will not be absorbed into the clippings. It is recommeneded to allow the clippings to be in the sun for 3-4 weeks after treatment and before composte.
