I have a big bee/wasp nest near my pond on rocky terrain surrounded by ivy and ground cover. I can't remove the rocks without getting stung. I have tried but can't find the nest. Can I apply Drione dust to the ivy, rocks, and soil area? I have a newborn and two dogs and was wondering how safe this may be. If Drione is not recommended, what do you suggest? Also, can you suggest equipment and clothing I will need to do this safely? Thank you!
Drione Dust would only really work if you were to dust directly into the nest, but it can take longer for this treatment to work. Even if you dust inside the rocky cover you risk the fact that may not come in contact with the product. We highly recommend that you take a look at our "How to get rid of Wasps" article. It is better to treat with an insecticide that can give you a better and longer residual, so we would recommend our Wasp and Hornet Control Kit and our Complete Professional Bee Suit for safety.
