Can I use the B&G Long Reach Dust-r (1153-g) (24050000) to apply powder to our cattle?

How is the powder dispensed? Do you squeeze the bulb or do you actually throw the dust. Our cattle are docile but I have only a few minutes while they are eating to apply dust to their backs. Would you recommend this tool?
