I live in Pensacola, FL., 25-30 minutes from salt water. Can I use this on existing grass of a different type or does it have to be Centipede Grass. I am not sure what kind of grass I have. I am planning on using Hi-Yield Weed and Feed 15-0-10 first, as I have severe issues with weeds and dirt patches in the front yard and there is also noticeable sand as well as lots of snails. I am also thinking of applying Centipede Grass seed in hopes it will work. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thank you very much.
Without knowing what type of turf your currently have and what turf is most successful in your region, we recommend contacting your local Master Gardener for recommentions on grass seed, herbicides and treatment procedures in your area.
