Can I wrap Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh around the outside base of 2x4 walls?

If I wrap this mesh around the outside base of the 2x4 walls (I plan to build a tack room in my barn) - will that stop the mice from chewing their way in?

Answer:

If you use the Stuf-Fit Copper Mesh as a wrap, the rodents should not be able to chew through it if you use many layers, however, it would be best to use something more permanent, such as a metal baseplate. The copper mesh is intended to be stuffed into small holes, and then it is usually sealed with a hard filler such as expansion foam. We would recommend using rodenticide in tamper-resistant stations around the exterior of the barn to keep rodents out of the area. Our Rodent Baiting Kit contains stations and bait that can be used for rats or mice.
