Can you use Nuvan Strips Behind a Wall?

I have about a one inch space between my baseboards and the wood floor, due to carpet removal. If it fit, could I place a strip into that space and duct tape it to get rid of bed bugs that may be hiding in the walls? This would be in my bedroom and my sons, as well as hall and living area. Would make sure the opening was tightly sealed with duct tape, but I want to be very careful, especially with my son's room.

Answer:

Nuvan Prostrips would not be something you would use to treat a wall void with as that wall still circulates air through the rest of your home and not only would the vapor not be able to build up like its supposed to (like when placed in an enclosed bag or box) but it also would not be safe to do so. Nuvan strips are not to be used where people regularly occupy the area.  You would be much better off getting rid of the bedbugs using the appropriate chemicals like in our Bed Bug Kits. These products will effectively eliminate the bed bugs and are safe to use when following the directions for application. You can also see all the steps needed to eliminate bedbugs by reviewing our Bed bug Guide.
