Can you use Termidor to "bait" termites?

I just purchased Termidor SC to treat around the foundation of my home. I have lots of termite activity away from the house near the woodpile, and in my cedar fence boards. Is it possible to soak cardboard or spray wood with Termidor and then place it on the ground where they will eventually find and consume the Termidor treated materials? I would like to get rid of the termites away from the house as an extra precaution. I have 1.25 acres, so there is a lot of area.

Answer:

No, Termidor SC needs to bind with the soil for termite use. This should be done in a trench around the structure. Generally, termites do not stay in the same place. They travel and will likely come in contact with Termidor treated soil. We would recommend using Termidor Foam inside the cedar fence boards.
