The poison is in the dose...

This is a typical organophosphate. Very effective at killing. Anything. I would recommend this to a pest control professional but never to a homeowner. The WARNING label should be explained to those non-professionals out there that think if it says 2/3 oz. in a gallon is recommended then 2 or 3 oz. in a half gallon is better. This is a very strong insecticide. Organophosphate insecticides irreversibly inactivate acetylcholinesterase, which is essential to nerve function in insects, humans, and many other animals. It was used as a nerve gas agent by the Nazis in the 1930s and in the Tokyo Underground attack in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It has a strong "cheap paint" smell that subsides in an hour or two. A little goes a very long way and if you know what you are doing, it is exceedingly effective at knocking down even the toughest roach populations.
