Product Documents
Catchmaster Glue Boards are an excellent choice for the capture of mice, rats, and other small rodents and insects in the home. With no poisons, rodenticides, or pesticides, these glue boards use a special adhesive type of glue scented with peanut butter to stop rodents in their tracks. When it comes to pest glue boards, Catchmaster has been called “the Duracell of Glues” as compared to competitors’ glues that can become hard and rubbery after 30 to 90 days. The glue in Catchmaster glue traps are effective for at least one year and are not toxic to people or pets. They also contain no oil like other glue board products, as oil mixes with the body chemistry of the rodent allowing for escape. The low profile of these glue boards allows for easy placement of traps. Glue boards may be used as a stand alone treatment measure for rodents or as an additional tool to baiting. If you know the rodents running paths, place a Catchmaster Glue Board wherever rodent have been seen to travel, ideally close to the wall in places not readily accessible to pets and children. If by chance a pet or non-targeted animal gets stuck to the glue trap, household vegetable oil may be applied for painless release.

Got better results than with other products
By Elliot on May 5, 2008I have better results with Catchmaster glue boards than with other glue boards. It seems to me that they are stickier, and I suspect they don't have an odor which repels the mice.

Not much luck with Glue Boards
By Regina on May 26, 2009I've only caught two mice with these and I've put out 25. The mice are pooping on them, so I know they are walking around them. I noticed that they're putting bits of paper in one of the little boxes as if they are making a nest. I just wonder if the glue is sticky enough.

Great
By Robert on March 13, 2011We have the very poisonous Southern California Desert Brown Spider here. We use a dozen of these spread around the house. They trap LOTS of these spiders & various other insects. We change them out every few months or if the glue gets too much dust or too many dead insects. Silverfish, roaches, water bugs, fleas, mites, mosquitoes, & other insects we do not recognize are trapped in these things all the time and we do not have any pets or animals here. The price is wonderful. These also have the (very slight) peanut butter smell in the glue which catches roaches & mice like crazy. We buy these all the time now. We have tried the other styles from here, but like this one the best so far.

Glue Boards Are Safe
By Foster on August 5, 2010With neurological problems and pets (bird & 3 dogs) I do not want insecticides in my home. Placed along baseboards in remote areas, glue boards have been a safe and effective method to eliminate recluse spiders and scorpions in our home.

Works well for roaches & spiders, doesn't work for mice
By Michael on May 13, 2013This works well for roaches and spiders. Good to have when treating for roaches for monitoring purposes. I haven't had any luck with these for mice. I have seen a few that the mice have gotten stuck on but they all escaped.

Working well

These are working just fine. I had some camel crickets & put these boards down to catch them. The boards are just as advertised & appear to be the same as what my exterminator used & charged me a lot more.

These are very effective!
By Katie on March 6, 2013The peanut butter scent smells great to mice and people alike. And they catch mice very well. I recommend these to anyone with mouse problems (not strong enough for rats) or doing pest control on their own.

Works Great

Inconspicuous and lethal. Place them around baseboards, kitchen cabinets, or in the garage and you'll be amazed what is crawling around your house. More effective than poisons, non-toxic and economical. If you think you have lots of crawlies, try these out.

Mouse glue board
By Stefan on November 28, 2012To me it is the best device for the job. The best way to use it is to leave it flat against the wall and because they walk close to the wall , they will automatically get caught on it. After 30 years in a kitchen , best product so far.

Catchmaster Mouse/Insect Glue Boards 72MB
By Irene on November 22, 2012

I have had spider (or camel) crickets in my cellar for over 3 years. Even though they do not chipr, they drive me crazy, especially if they get up into the house. I have tried many things to get rid of them and decided to try the Catchmaster Glue Boards. I can not belive how many I have caught on them. I have had to change them every week or two because they are full of the darned things. I hope some day I will get the last one, but in the meantime, the glue boards are helping a lot to thin out the critters. Thank you for a great product.

good for bugs not mice.
By Gary-g on November 3, 2012An exterminator left several of these out and they have been good at catching insects but not so good at catching mice though 3 mice were caught in them over a 6 wk period. LTD traps are much better for mice control.

August 24, 2009Sue asked:
QWhat is the difference between Catchmaster glue boards and Trapper LTD boards?
You advertise both the Catchmaster Mouse/Insect Glue boards and the Trapper LTD Mouse/Insect Glue boards. Are the uses and results similar?
A Yes, the Catchmaster Glue Boards and the Trapper LTD Glue Boards both serve the same purpose and are used the same way. We sell a large number of both units and do not ever have any complaints. The Catchmaster glueboards are peanut butter scented and the Trapper LTD glueboards are unscented.
December 28, 2010Robert asked:
QMy dog ate one of the glue boards, will this harm him?
He ate about 1/3 to a 1/2 a box.
AYour dog would have to eat "huge" quantities of the actual glue for there to be any risk of poisoning. As with any non-food item your dog consumes, you should monitor him to be sure everything he ingested passes through his system. If you suspect that the glueboard has not passed within a reasonable amount of time or your pet stops eating, you should contact your vet.
June 18, 2010Eric asked:
QHow often should these Catchmaster Glue Boards be changed?
Main purpose; Spider extermination.
AThe glueboards will remain good for a length of time depending on where you place them. They would need to be replaced if either the board becomes full with insects, or it becomes too dusty which will coat the glue and it will not be sticky. Typically you would replace every 30 days.
October 28, 2010Gerry asked:
QIs the peanut butter scent on the Catchmaster Mouse/Insect Glue Boards 72MB considered an allergen?
ANo. The peanut butter scent on the Catchmaster Mouse/Insect Glue Boards 72MB is a synthetic scent and no peanuts, peanut oils or peanut product of any kind are used to make the scent.
June 27, 2011Cliff asked:
QI have mice in my home with 3 children. What is the best way to eradicate them safely?
We have mice inside our house, evident by the droppings we find. We have 3 small children and we need a good method to remove the mouse problem ASAP with a kid-friendly method. Also, we have an older home and need to seal the outside to prevent further issues. Suggestions?
AFor capturing mice in a house there are many things you can use. mice usually hide behind appliances and in other areas that kids cannot easily get to. Glue boards and snap traps usually work really well but of course you would not want to place these in the open where the kids could access them. We also carry live catch traps which you can place in areas that are not so confined as there is nothing that the kids could get hurt from or stuck on. As far as exclusion, you should use whatever method necessary to close all openings. Expanding foam is often used but mice can chew through this foam which is why you should use Stuf-Fit copper mesh in the holes before foaming.
February 4, 2011Alan asked:
QCan I use the Catchmaster Mouse/Insect Glue Boards under my bed?
Is it advisable to put these under a bed? I have them by each bed post, but I didn't realize they were baited. I'm a bit concerned they could attract a spider and it could avoid the trap and crawl up the bed post. Especially, if the trap is too dusty. Any suggestions for bed defense?
AYou did not indicate what pest you are trying to capture with the glue boards but since you mentioned that you were placing the boards by each bed post we will assume that the pest in question is bedbugs. The Catchmaster Glue boards are peanut butter scented to help lure rodents onto the boards but they do not have any special baits or attractants that would lure spiders or any other insect. These boards are most effective when they are placed where insects travel. To help stop the glue from getting too dusty you can fold it up into a box shape (you can see the glue board folded into a box on the Catchmaster glue board page on our website). We do have the Climb-up Interceptor that is made specifically to capture bedbugs as they try to climb on and of the bed and we also have the Catchmaster BDS which is a type of glue board made specifically for bedbugs and they can be placed in small cracks and crevices around your bedframe.
