Success with CB PCO Fogger
By Roy in Post Falls, ID on 08/20/2010
Our garage was full of moths that came home in two sacks of bird seed. I ordered two cans of CB PCO fogger with pyrethrins and used one can. It eliminated 99% of the moths. The moth traps have caught a few, too. I might not need the second can of spray as I am not seeing more moths flying. This is a very effective product. I would buy more of this if it were needed.

Worked on Yellow Jackets
By Bob in CO on 10/23/2010
I tapped this fogger to the end of a broom stick, popped the tab, and stuck it right at the entrance to the yellow jacket nest. Sprayed for about 2-3 minutes straight. Doesn't really knock them out of the air, but it did work. Yellow Jackets died over the next 2 weeks straight. Now totally gone.

CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins
By Robert in Bakersfield, CA on 03/22/2011
Absolutely USELESS!! Frankly, I'm not sure why but there are more roaches now than before the "bombs" were set off. This building is less than 600 sq. ft. I set one in the front half, and one in the rear half. I found a total of 5 dead roaches on the floor and kitchen counter. 6 days later, they are still everywhere, LIVE!! I am giving this one star. Unfortunately, you haven't provided for a NEGATIVE rating. I would NOT recommend this to my ex-wife!!!
You have to realize that a fogger only goes straight up into the air out of the can, and then falls straight down. It will only kill roaches that are out in the open. Foggers do not make it into the wall voids where the roaches hide, or under or inside appliances. You should apply roach bait and other residual products like what is in our roach control kits.

Left an oily residue all over my floors and rugs
By Judy in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. on 06/22/2015
I followed the instructions to a tee on this fogger. I shook it well and placed a generous amount of newspaper underneath the cans on the floor. Came home to air out the house and slipped on the floor from an oily residue that was left from the pyrethrin. The oily residue settled everywhere within a very large perimeter of where I placed the cans on the floor and even on my oriental rugs. I spent five hours mopping the floors. Also, had to use my carpet shmpooer to get the oil out of the carpet. Six hours later when I brought my dog home from my mom's house, he didn't want to come in from the residual odor. He hid his nose in his covers and kept coming out of his kennel to get away from the smell. I did see some dead moths, but it wasn't worth the aggravation of spending endless hours cleaning up the mess. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the oily residue left after releasing the bomb. I definitely would not recommend.
Foggers in general will contain oils that are used as propellants to dispense the product, so it should be expected that an oily residue will be left behind. Also, foggers will only kill insects that are exposed at the time of use. For complete control of most types of moths, you will need to identify the source, whether that be stored food goods for pantry moths such as Indian Meal Moths, or animal fiber garments for clothing moths. The exact treatment will vary, depending on the particular pest. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service staff for assistance with treating your particular pest!

result of CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins
By Regitze in Dallas, Texas on 01/29/2014
I was inundated by moth in one of my bedrooms, I ordered one of the Fogger's but could have used two. They have helped a lot but additional Moth repellent had to be bought to get nearly rid of them. My suggestion, buy 2 of the Fogger's and use it at the same time. No odor. Did take my two cats out of the house for 4 hours, no odor either.

CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins
By Olive in Washington, DC on 01/07/2014
Sprayed the fogger once in the affected kitchen and dining areas and within days, the infestation had subsided to about one or two fruit flies per day. I would recommend it to anyone. I have not seen any new fruit flies within the last few days.

I had an exterminator (best in town) come over 4 times, and he could not get rid of my silverfish problem. I found DoMyOwnPestControl on the web and called. I ended up buying Intice and the foggers. I threw Intice all over my attic, and set off the foggers. No more silverfish. This was after I spent over $700 on the exterminator. Now I set off the foggers about every 6 months just to be safe. No bugs, silverfish, or spiders in the house. I'm very pleased with this.

Doesn't work on meal worms
By Janice in Shirley, NY on 10/01/2010
We used only one 5 oz. fogger for a room 15 x 15. We put the fogger next to where we know there is a nest of meal worms (which turn into moths) behind the wall by our stove. Sadly the fogger did not rid us of these pesky bugs. We are going to call an exterminator after trying everything else. The product WAS delivered quickly.
This product did not work for this customer because it will not penetrate into wall voids. Foggers go straight up into the air and then fall straight down. They will kill anything out in the open when the fogger goes off, but will not kill anything inside cabinets or wall voids. This customer should treat behind the stove and into the wall void with a residual product like D-Force HPX.

QWill the CB PCO Fogger kill fleas?
I'm having a very bad flea infestation at the moment. I tried using Advantage and another flea killer product on my cat and the fleas still have not disappeared. I'm looking for something more permanent and lethal to make sure the fleas don't ever come again. I do believe that once the fleas are killed they won't ever come again because the general area we live in is really not flea heavy, I just believe I went to someone else's place who had fleas in the house, and I just happened to pick one of them up from sitting on there couch or their dog that hasn't been treated by flea medicine. Will the CB PCO Fogger kill these fleas once and for all?
A Foggers work very well to get rid of the adult fleas that are exposed at the time of the treatment but will not effect the adult fleas that are hidden away at the time of the treatment or the flea eggs or larvae. Most infestations require two or even three treatments of a product that contains a long lasting residual and an insect growth regulator such as Ultracide. Treatments should be applied at two week intervals. Vacuuming immediately before the application and daily vacuuming will be vital to successful flea control. Be sure to dispose of the vacuum contents in a sealed bag away from your home.

QWill this fogger kill moths?
Moths have been feasting on my favorite wool sweaters, hanging in my closet
A The CB Pco Fogger will kill adult moths that are exposed at the time of the fogging but the fog will not be able to penetrate into the folds of the clothing to kill the larva that is actually causing the damage to your sweaters (the adult moths do not feed, the moth larva is what is causing damage to your sweaters. Please read our article How to get Rid of Clothes Moths to learn how to get rid of this damaging pest. http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/how-to-get-rid-of-clothes-moths-a-427.html

QWill CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins kill spiders?
If not, what will??
AYes CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins will kill spiders, but only the spiders that are exposed at the time the fogger is released. We recommend using Cyper WP for spider control. Cypermethrin, the active ingredient in Cyper WP, is known to be one of the most effective active ingredients for spiders and other hard to kill insects. Spray directly into cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames and window frames and in places where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. We have recently added a spider control kit to our website that includes Cyper WP, Cobweb Eliminator and glue boards. Using Cobweb eliminator will help discourage spiders from forming webs on the surfaces that have been sprayed and the glue boards will help trap wandering spiders and help monitor problem areas.
QWill the PCO fogger kill gnats and their eggs?
AThe CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins will kill the exposed gnats, but it will most likely have no effect on their eggs. The eggs are usually protected because of their hard shell and because they are placed into voids, cracks, crevices and other protected areas where the fogger is unlikely to penetrate. If you suspect that the gnats are breeding and laying eggs indoors, you should try to find the area that they are depositing their eggs. Depending on the type of gnat you are dealing with, they could be developing in drains, soil in potted plants, organic buildup in the bottom of trash cans, debris under appliances, etc. In most cases, a thorough cleaning of the infested area is needed.

QHow effective is CB PCO Fogger at killing a flea infestation?
How effective is CB PCO Fogger at killing a flea infestation?
ACB PCO Fogger will only kill those fleas that are exposed at the time you use the product. For fleas infestations we recommend: Foggers are not good for fleas at all. We sell an indoor flea kit that is the best for fleas indoors. You must use an IGR (insect growth regulator) for fleas which you cannot use in a fogger. Our kit is the best option for indoors as it is the same professional products professional companies use. The most important part of any flea treatment is vacuuming. You should vacuum before treating and then again every couple days after your treatment. You should also treat again in exactly 14 days. There is enough product in our indoor flea kit to treat an average size house twice. We also carry an outdoor/indoor flea kit that works great for the inside and outside of your home. This kit contains a liquid concentrate and an IGR (insect growth regulator). It is applied using a one gallon hand pump sprayer. When treating the outside, we recommend that you mow your lawn one to two days prior to the application.

QHow well do roach bombs work?
ABug bombs such as the CB PCO Fogger, is highly effective at knocking down a large number of roaches at one time. However, bug bombs will only kill roaches that are out in the open and exsposed at the time the bomb is activated. Once the fog disipates, it will no longer be effective and will not continue killing roaches. We would recommend one of our roach control kits. Our kits contain a specialized mix of roach control products that are tailored to the specific needs of the situation, based on several factors such as the size of the infestation, the size of the room or rooms that are affected, and the type of roach that is causing the issue.

Qwill the CB PCCO fogger kill bird mites
A: CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins is not labeled to treat mites. It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with bird mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Treatment for say bedbugs is much different than the treatment for bird mites. If you do indeed have bird mites, you must first find the source of the infestation, usually a bird nest or a dead bird on or in the home. Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good.

QWill this CB PCO fogger be appropriate for a chigger infestation inside our house?
These bugs we were told by a bug expert are chiggers. It is mostly small, tiny bugs, some black, some red and are so tiny we can hardly see them. They are everywhere! On our beds, floors and on and in our clothes. We have our fleece slippers on floor and the bugs crawl on, in and around our slippers. And they bite! Is this fogger a good choice to use? These things are driving me crazy. Please help!
ACB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins would not likely be helpful for a chigger infestation as it will only kill insects that directly exposed during the application. Further, we recommend you get a second opinion as to the identification of the pest you are dealing with because chiggers are very unlikely to infest houses and they are not active in the winter. We recommend reading the this article: Chiggers, HYG 2100-98 for accurate information on chiggers and why we believe the identification is incorrect.
QWill the CB PCO FOGGER kill bedbugs? I'm looking for a fogger for Bedbugs.
AWhile the CB PCO Fogger will kill exposed bedbugs, it is not recommended for that use. When foggers are released, they simply spray up into the air and then settle down onto surfaces. They do not penetrate into cracks and crevices where bedbugs actually hide. Using a fogger for bedbugs could also irritate the bedbugs and force them deeper into cracks and crevices or into wall voids making effective treatments much more difficult or impossible. There are no foggers on the market that are recommended for bedbugs for these reasons. There are no short cuts for treating bedbugs. You must use multiple products and follow the appropriate guidelines for treating individual items such as clothes, shoes, electronics, etc. We recommend using a bedbug control kit which will come with all of the products you need to do an effective bedbug treatment.
QWill CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrin kill german roaches? They seem to be somewhere in a kitchen cabinet.
I have sprayed Cynoff WP insect killer around the baseboards and the outside of the house, but they seem to be concentrated by the kitchen sink.
ACB PCO Fogger will kill roaches, but you must direct the fogger in the kitchen cabinet. Roaches are commonly found around kitchen sinks because they need moisture. You can help eliminate this need by always placing dishes in the dishwasher instead of leaving them in the sink, wipe the sink out and counter tops at night so no water is left anywhere in the sink or around it. Remove everything from inside cabinets and drawers. Direct the CB PCO Fogger inside these areas so the fog gets inside all cracks and crevices. Roaches commonly hide inside walls and the fogger will not make it back in these areas, so the fogger will kill what roaches are out in the open when you use it, but not what is in hiding. After you fog, we would recommend using Advion Roach Gel to place in your cabinets and drawers. It works great and you will usually start seeing substantial results within 2 weeks as long as you keep all food and water cleaned up and at a minimum.
QI've got yellow jackets nesting in my crawlspace. Should I block the vents and fog?
AYou could try that, but if the yellow jackets are nesting in a block void or other area, the fog would not kill all of the yellow jackets in the crawl space. The most effective way to kill yellow jackets is to use Tempo 1% dust and a hand duster. Even if they are just flying in and out of the screen or through a hole, if you dust the opening where they are going in and out sometimes that should be enough to kill them.
QIs CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrin effective against carpet beetles?
Attegunus Unicolor (and its larva) hides in carpet and crevices. Pyrethrins and pyrethroids are effective, but will this fogger do the job or will other methods be needed?
ACB PCO fogger would not be effective against carpet beetles. This is because this product will not penetrate into cracks and crevices where carpet beetle larvae hide, and it does not leave a residual to kill insects later when they come out of hiding. This product will only kill what is out in the open when it goes off. We recommend reading our articles on carpet beetle control.
QI am looking for something that will kill stink bugs. Will the CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrin work?
AThe CB PCO Fogger would not be your best choice for stinkbugs. CB PCO Fogger is only a contact kill, meaning it will only kill a bug that is out in the open when it is set off. Stinkbugs are nesting in the wall and the fogger would not make it into the wall where they hide. You should purchase our Overwintering Kit or the Stink Bug Control Kit which are both specifically for overwintering pests like the stinkbug. It has products that you place in the wall where they are hiding, and also products that leave a residual to kill the adults that are coming out of the wall into your home.
