CB-80 Extra Aerosol - 17
By Joan in Berlin, Ct on 10/16/2010
I was having a problem with grain weevils and did as website suggested: removed everything from cupboards, threw away any suspect items, vacuumed cupboards, scrubbed them with hot water and soap. Next, I sprayed product; I let it try well and then sprayed again. I replaced everything back into cupboards after washing whatever needed it and putting any food products into refrigerator for storage or in containers in the cupboards. Problem Solved! I would suggest that you ventilate the room or rooms well and wear a mask when using the product.

Kills stubborn German Cockroaches and all other household pests INSTANTLY. When you've had it "up to here" with roach infestations -- as I have living in an apartment complex-- it is very rewarding to be able to grab my CB-80 Extra and spray the nasty suckers on the spot and watch them die before they have a chance to run and hide. One less to worry about.

My CB-80 Review
By Kiki in New York, NY on 12/11/2011
This product is the best I've used in all the months I've been trying to get rid of my bed & unforseen flying bugs to date. I put a towel across my nose and mouth and just start spraying.... EVERYWHERE! Because I don't know where these bugs hide, I sprayed around the windows, bedframe, floor, my desk, etc. I do have plastic bed covers on the box spring & mattress. As a result, I seen (& killed) 4 bed bugs! They were literally climbing up the walls. I gave this product 4 stars only because of the smell. It's not the best smell but worth the results.

I used this as my first step in eliminating multiple carpenter bees/holes from a redwood play structure at night. It knocked the bees down quickly, and they died after crawling around for about 20 seconds. The straw attachment was helpful for getting the chemical spray into the bee holes and down their tunnels as opposed to just broadly spraying at the surface and having them safe deeper in the hole.

Living in the midwestern countryside, my exterminator suggested this for the annual elderbugs & Japanese beetles drawn to our brown house for the warmth. This product is the only penetrable spray for their hard shells. This is use safer use for inside house since it can be used in school cafeterias & kitchens.

Most everything I've ordered has been on time and great but one of the CB-80 cans has malfunctioned from the start. Not spraying out contents without leaking all over. Took apart put back and still not working correctly. Too much of a hassle to ship back to u.

I had little gnats last year around the time it started getting cold. I used this spray and it did help the problem. I did take my curtains down and wash them. But this is a powerful bug spray. I have birds and don't spray when they are around, I put them outside. Wear something over your nose or leave the room for about 15 minutes. I also now have some gnats in this summer time. Don't know why. I still have been spraying. I see that you are out of this product, please hurry..I am just about empty.

Product works as advertised. Insects die when they see the can. Ok that's an exaggeration but the product works well. The flip nozzle makes it easy to store and it definitely 86's about anything it touches.

Knock-Down Not As Quick As Expected
By John in Smyrna, GA on 08/02/2016
My wife hates insects - a lot. The more they run around, the more agitated SHE becomes. After reading CB-80's product description, I was expecting general insect knock-down as quick as Ortho's Wasp And Hornet spray - the insects are paralyzed instantly. I tried CB-80 on a house centipede in my basement and was disappointed. After spraying it once, it ran off. So...I sprayed it a couple more times, each time it ran further. It did die in about a minute and I imagine the second and third sprays were not really necessary. Not a bad product, I was just expecting the insect to be stopped in its tracks after the initial contact. If there is a product that will instantly stop a spider or centipede, please let me know and I will buy it!

QWhat are the differences between CB-40 and CB-80?
AThe main difference is the amount of "knockdown" power that they have. Both products contain PBO, which is a quick knockdown product. CB-40 contains 1% PBO, and CB-80 contains 4% PBO. So CB-80 is considered to be a stronger knockdown product, basically meaning a quicker kill. You would want to use CB-80 for cockroaches and spiders, scorpions, etc. If you are just dealing with flying insects, CB-40 would be fine.

QDoes CB-80 can come with a straw to spray with?

QIs CB-80 Aerosol - 17 oz. can helpful for fruit/drain flies in restaurant kitchen?
ACB-80 will help knockdown the adult flies but you will still need to find the source of the infestation to get rid of them for good. We do recommend that you determine if you are actually dealing with drain flies or if they are in fact fruit flies. (you can google pictures of thes flies to help you identify them) A proper identification is important because the breeding areas where these pests develop can vary greatly. Please take a few moments to read our Drain Fly article and our Fruit Fly article to learn more about these pests and how to control them.

QIs CB-80 Aerosol harmful to dogs?
Want to spray in home.
A CB-80 Aerosol is safe if applied when the dogs are not present during the application and while the surfaces are wet. Once the treated areas are completely dried and the home properly ventilated, the dogs are safe to return inside.

QWhat is the main difference between CB-80 and 565 Plus, besides one being oil based and one being water based? Are they both flushing products for roach problems?
ACB-80 Aerosol and 565 Plus XLO are both contain pyrethrin active ingredient. CB-80 contains PBO, which is a quick knockdown product. They are both used for a contact kill with no lasting residual properties. They are both used for the immediate eradication of roaches when sprayed directly or used as a flushing application.

QIs CB-80 supposed to provide instant knockdown of Stink Bugs?
I came home today & my front porch had quite a few stink bugs, I sprayed the stink bugs & they just flew away, I thought this would kill them. I have been using Suspend Polyzone around my home, is there something else to get rid of these critters?
A CB-80 Aerosol will definitely work if they're sprayed enough, it is possible that the stink bugs you sprayed fell to their death within minutes of being sprayed. It doesn't kill lthem the instant they're "touched" by the product but within minutes it paralyzes them. Suspend Polyzone is a great product, you can continue to use that to maintain a good residual control around the perimeter of your home as well as around the window frames and door frames. Another product you can rotate with is Temprid SC, you can also find it in our Overwintering Kit.

QCan CB-80 Aerosol kill ticks?
Will it kill ticks on contact.?
QIs there a fogger that will kill clothes moth eggs and larvae?
A There is not a fogger that can kill clothes moth eggs and larvae. The eggs are pretty well protected and along with the larvae are in cracks and crevices more than out in the open. Fogging will only kill those insects that are out in the open at the time you set them off and do not get into all the areas that larvae can be found. You could use the CB-80 in cracks and crevices where the larvae could be and it will kill on contact only. Please refer to our "How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths" article for the best advice

QWill CB-80 Aerosol kill starlings?
I have starlings under the eves that got into the attic thru the holes in the soffits. I'd like to spray it in the holes all over the nests and baby starlings.
A CB-80 Insecticide may be harmful to starlings or other birds. We cannot recommend to use this product in any way other than those uses on the product label. We would encourage you to remove a nest that may be bothering you and then seal up the access points so that other birds do not return to the area. You can view our Bird Control Page for more product information about bird control.

QWhich contact aerosol product is the fastest kill for Roaches? For spiders?
My sister is having a roach problem in her apartment. The Germans type, I'm pretty sure. They (the maintenance crew) spray once a month but it seems to be infective. I've done perimeter and void dusting with Drione. Along with Phantom in the cracks under cabinets and where the powder is impractical. However, she has seen a couple more of them after treatment. Today she saw a spider as well. Is there one best fast kill for both? Or one specific for each? BTW, You all are the best place I've found to help with my own pest problem; scorpions. I fired the "professional" after finding your site and now am free of the stinging creepy-crawlies. Thanks so much!
A It can take several months to get rid of a large infestation. Infestations do not get large quickly and unfortunately they do not go away quickly either. Below you will find our best recommendations for eliminating roaches:

QThe CB-80 Aerosol product label does not list bees as a listed pest and I want to make sure it is legal.
ACB-80 Aerosol will kill bees. Bees are considered beneficial insects and play an important role in the ecosystem by facilitating pollination. They should only be exterminated if they are posing a threat.
