By Tanya on October 27, 2007

I have an annoying amount of roaches. I ordered CB-80 Extra aerosol for bed bugs a year and a half ago and it got rid of the roaches for about a year as well! So I NEED this stuff again. I'm addicted! I am NO LONGER wasting money on that over the counter stuff ever again.

5 of 5 Stars  Kills instantly!
By Carrie on January 13, 2007

Kills stubborn German Cockroaches and all other household pests INSTANTLY. When you've had it "up to here" with roach infestations -- as I have living in an apartment complex-- it is very rewarding to be able to grab my CB-80 Extra and spray the nasty suckers on the spot and watch them die before they have a chance to run and hide. One less to worry about.

4 of 5 Stars  Good stuff
By Alex on May 13, 2010

I used this as my first step in eliminating multiple carpenter bees/holes from a redwood play structure at night. It knocked the bees down quickly, and they died after crawling around for about 20 seconds. The straw attachment was helpful for getting the chemical spray into the bee holes and down their tunnels as opposed to just broadly spraying at the surface and having them safe deeper in the hole.

    5 of 5 Stars  CB-80 Extra Aerosol - 17
By Joan on October 16, 2010

I was having a problem with grain weevils and did as website suggested: removed everything from cupboards, threw away any suspect items, vacuumed cupboards, scrubbed them with hot water and soap. Next, I sprayed product; I let it try well and then sprayed again. I replaced everything back into cupboards after washing whatever needed it and putting any food products into refrigerator for storage or in containers in the cupboards. Problem Solved! I would suggest that you ventilate the room or rooms well and wear a mask when using the product.

4 of 5 Stars  CB 80 Extra with pyrethrum
By Terry on July 27, 2010

Gave a can to my daughter, she had roaches real bad. After only one can she has significantly less roaches and no wasps around her house. She has said she wants to know where we got it from so that she can buy some too and keep it on hand. As for us, we have used it outside for dive bombing wasp. It works very well for that, now have to spray the rails of the porches where they have made nest.

This is a wonderful product. I've used this product for 3 years now. It kills the Japanese lady bugs instantly. My husband had tried other types of insect killer, but they would not work on the Japanese lady bugs. It works well on spiders and other bugs as well.

  • 1 of 5 Stars  It was disappointing.
By Walter on August 4, 2012

Had a problem inside the House with Spiders, Mosquitos, and Fly’s. Followed the instructions and closed all windows, sprayed every room for about 10 to 20 second. Left the house closed for 2 hours, -instructions 15 min. After the 2 hours there were still the houseflies, (Green/Black) a little disorientated but still flying. Another complains is the smell. It does smell strong and the product leaves a waxy subtends. (Description: Because CB-80 Extra has no residual effect, there is no need to worry about insecticide buildup.) This statement is controversial; cleaned all the counters and furniture. Would not use this product again inside the House.

    4 of 5 Stars  My CB-80 Review
By Kiki on December 11, 2011

This product is the best I've used in all the months I've been trying to get rid of my bed & unforseen flying bugs to date. I put a towel across my nose and mouth and just start spraying.... EVERYWHERE! Because I don't know where these bugs hide, I sprayed around the windows, bedframe, floor, my desk, etc. I do have plastic bed covers on the box spring & mattress. As a result, I seen (& killed) 4 bed bugs! They were literally climbing up the walls. I gave this product 4 stars only because of the smell. It's not the best smell but worth the results.

Simply stated, this product performed as expected. I had yellow jackets in the overhang in the front of the house next to the front door. They were going in at the corner of the house and overhang. Since I could not tell where the nest was, I sprayed into the opening in the corner (up, to the left behind the siding, to the right into the siding and overhang). The next day I saw no more yellow jackets going in or out. I tried several other products, with no effect. This product did the trick, in one night.

May 18, 2012William from Starkville, Ms asked:

QWhat are the differences between CB-40 and CB-80?

AThe main difference is the amount of "knockdown" power that they have.  Both products contain PBO, which is a quick knockdown product.  CB-40 contains 1% PBO, and CB-80 contains 4% PBO.  So CB-80 is considered to be a stronger knockdown product, basically meaning a quicker kill.  You would want to use CB-80 for cockroaches and spiders, scorpions, etc.  If you are just dealing with flying insects, CB-40 would be fine.

March 12, 2010Patricia asked:

QCan CB-80 Extra Aerosol be used to treat bees in California?

ACB-80 will kill bees, but it should only be used if you have a nest in or around your home that has proven to be unsafe and a nuisance.  Bees are considered beneficial insects and play an important role in the ecosystem by facilitating pollination.  They should only be exterminated if they are posing a threat.

QDo you need a pest control license to use CB-80 Aerosol?

ANo, you do not need a licesne to use CB-80 Extra. We do carry professional products but every product on our website can be sold to homeowners as long as you are using it for your own use and property.  You need a license when you are treating other people's property for profit.

October 1, 2010Brop asked:

QIs there a spray that kills bed bug larvae? The CB-80 is great for killing mature bed bugs.

ABedbug nymphs can be killed by the exact same products that kill the adults. CB-80 offers a great immediate knockdown, but it does not provide any residual control of insects. We recommend using Bedlam for residual control of bedbug adults and bedbug nymphs.

November 9, 2010Trudy asked:

QWhat is the best way to eliminate flies?
I believe we have common house flies(hundreds/day). I have a sprayer running day and night upstairs. It kills most of the flies coming in up there, but we still have many downstairs. I have two Flies Be Gone traps hanging outside. I do not believe they are really doing anything to help with the problem. We have set off fog bombs in our home also. We do live in an old home, but I am just wondering if you think using another fly product would help.

AWhat you are describing actually sounds more like a cluster fly. Cluster Flies usually live outside during the warm spring and summer months, feeding off of flowers or fruit. As the cooler fall weather approaches, cluster flies find their way into buildings through small cracks and crevices. Once inside, the flies hide in clusters in dark corners, wall voids, and virtually any tight space they can find-- beneath curtains, behind pictures, underneath furniture, inside door and window casings, and under baseboards. These flies start becoming active and emerging flying around in the house when the heat kicks on or when the weather warms up. Like any pest, the best way to get rid of them is to stop them from coming entering in the first place.  Now that they are already indoors your options are a bit limited.

  • Use a vacuum hose to remove single flies or clusters of adult flies as they appear.
  • A contact pyrethrum spray like CB-80 can be kept on hand and sprayed lightly as needed for contact kill.

  • Inspect around windows for live or dead flies. Any void where cluster flies are found or suspected should be treated using a residual dust insecticide such as Delta Dust or Drione Dust. Apply using a hand duster  to any enclosed void including underneath baseboards and behind electrical outlets and window and door frames. Some enclosed wall voids in critical areas may need to be drilled, dusted, and then resealed.

  • A residual spray insecticide such as Suspend SC or Demon WP may also be used to treat areas where flies are frequently seen after they emerge in the spring, such as attics, basements, storerooms, closets, and other areas.

Fly Light Traps
Installing insect or fly lights in attics and false ceilings is an effective approach to dealing with cluster flies when the overwintering site cannot be determined. When the cluster flies "awaken" in the spring, a fly light will attract and capture a large portion of the cluster fly population before they are able to inhabit living spaces.

January 2, 2011Amanda asked:

QCan CB-80 be used to treat bed bugs on upholstered furniture, such as a sofa?
I have a microfiber sofa that appears to be infested with bed bugs. Can I spray CB-80 directly onto the sofa in the tufts and folds to kill the bedbugs?

AYou can use CB-80 to kill bedbugs on your sofa in areas that you will not be coming into direct contact with later. For instance, it would be okay to spray the underside (pull off the dust cover and treat the interior of the sofa where the bedbugs are likely to harbor), under cushions and interior seams and fabric folds. Spray a small inconspicuous area to test for staining. It is important to note that CB-80 does not offer residual control, so bedbugs need to be sprayed directly for best results.

QWe have a tall house, we have a problem with wasps, what is the reach for the spray can?

AAerosols are really meant for indoor use and will not reach farther than a couple of feet.  We do have a piece of equipment called the Dustick Deluxe that is an extension pole that you can place an aerosol can into and will reach up to 24 feet.

August 25, 2011Sharon from Rochester Hills, Mi asked:

QIs this helpful for fruit/drain flies in restaurant kitchen?

ACB-80 will help knockdown the adult flies but you will still need to find the source of the infestation to get rid of them for good. We do recommend that you determine if you are actually dealing with drain flies or if they are in fact fruit flies. (you can google pictures of thes flies to help you identify them) A proper identification is important because the breeding areas where these pests develop can vary greatly. Please take a few moments to read our Drain Fly article and our Fruit Fly article to learn more about these pests and how to control them.
