    Q
Can a slip resistant additive be used in the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gallon and still flow through the tips provided? What product would be recommended to clean the solvent based sealer after using the sprayer?
    A

According to Chapin, you cannot use a slip resistant additive in the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gal (1949) due to the additive clogging the tips. Solvent base products are not able to be used in the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gal (1949), and the only cleaning method is to rinse thoroughly with water after use.

The Extreme Chapin Concrete Sprayers (19049 & 190690) can be cleaned with Xylene and followed up with thoroughly rinsing with water.

You may contact Chapin directly at 1-800-950-4458 for further questions.

    Q
Which brass adjustable nozzle fits best? How do I stop it from leaking after spraying?
Also when I got my sprayer I wanted to test it with water to make sure it was going to do what I needed and it leaks still after release the pressure on it? Am I doing it wrong or how shall I do it so it doesn't leak after I'm done spraying and release the pressure? Thanks for attending to this matter!
    A
We would recommend checking with the manufactuer Chapin. They are awesome at troubleshooting their sprayers and would be able to tell you exactly what to do. Their phone number is 800-950-4458.

    Q
Does the Chapin 3.5 Gallon Concrete Sprayer also come with the Poly Holster?
I've seen other sites indicating the attached holster keeps the wand and nozzles secure.
    A
We would not necessarily call it a holster but you can tell from our pictures that there are attachments on the tank that keep the wand attached to the tank and in place when you are carrying or transporting the unit.

  • Asked by Ruth from Elkland Mo.
    09/06/2021
    Q
Will the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gal. (1949) hold up (including the seals, gaskets, etc) for exclusively spraying diesel? If so, what are the cleaning procedures for the whole unit after spraying? If not, what other 1-2 gallon sprayers will hold up to spray diesel?
    A

Chapin does not recommend using diesel in any of their sprayers including the Chapin Concrete Sprayer 3.5 Gal. (1949) because of the safety concern of its flash point and the damage it can cause to the seals. Some folks have used the Chapin Xtreme sprayers, but we cannot guarantee that it would be fit for multiple uses after. Other customers will just use an inexpensive sprayer and dispose of it after use. Be sure not to leave flammable products under pressure.
