This container got the job done...and I had my hand in it's use, plus my handyman's help in setting this up. However, my handyman questioned the longevity of this product. The manufacturing of this pump sprayer disappointed him. Running a comparison with this sprayer and one he had from home depot, which cost $5.00 more: he wanted the handle of this pump to not leak air after the first use. The seal around the opening and the threading hissed air. The black tubing from the container bent and pinched off easily, in his opinion: he wanted to see a more pliable tubing. The "fan spray" did not spray in a fan configuration.

Purchased this for applying insecticide to residential foundations. Adjustable nozzle reaches 10 feet away under decks and remote spots. Easy to use and clean, glad I bought it.

application is a breeze
By Kimberly in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 14, 2010
The pump sprayer makes application so easy. My husband didn't want me to purchase it with our last order and said he could find something else to use that would be cheaper. I ordered it anyway, he used it and realized it was perfect especially for the price. He had looked around and found nothing that compared to the value, durability; and the others couldn't guarantee sprayers durability with the use of chemicals. You won't be disappointed especially for the price, excellent value.

The lever part of the handle came off after about 30 min of spraying. The maker sent a replacement part right away and all has been working fine so far.

I really like the idea that this sprayer has a nice full fan pattern. It really does a great job of applying the home barrier. Also, it pumps out every drop w/o leaving a residue in the tank. I've sprayed both our home and our daughter's place.

Wish I had purchased this sturdy, reliable pump in the 2 gallon instead of 1 gallon. Would have saved me a lot of time in between refills! Pump works flawlessly! Chapin pumps are great!

Very easy to use, perfect size for small spraying jobs.
Works nicely with 1 irritation

I like this 1 gallon size sprayer. It does not need a lot of pumping to get it pressurized and sprays well. I used it to spray the Termidor around my house. The one thing this sprayer did that my 2 gallon one did not was that when I unscrew the pump/handle, a small amount of solution sprays out due to the pressure and gets on my hands (not good). So need to be careful not to get your face too close to the top of the sprayer

Easy to assemble and light enough to carry around my yard and drag with me through my crawl space. I only had to pump it 3x (10 pumps each time) to empty a 1 gallon mixture. The sprayer shoots out mist in a cone shape, not a stream, and covers approx a 3 foot radius when held at waist level. Perfect for small yards/jobs.

For years I used a $250.00 B&G for my work in Commercial pest control. For my own place that is a bit of overkill. This Chapin 1 gallon sprayer is a good buy. The tip is very adjustable and while the sprayer is made of plastic, it is durable. I have used these for some time. I like that the wand has a bit of flex to it as I need to treat the voids under my cabinets. A quality product for the homeowner.

Easy and reliable
By M. in Dallas, TX on December 12, 2014
As a first time user, I was afraid the assembling of the parts will be time consuming and complicated. Not at all. To my surprise, it took less than 3 min! The step by step instructions with pics are very clear. In order to learn what to expect, I filled the tank with a 1/4 gallon of plain water/pump until I felt resistance/ locked/ and sprayed regulating the flow until I got a nice squirt. Then I was ready to add the product (EcoVia), mix well and start killing bugs. You don't need to pump again unless you stop squirting for a while, and it's really easy and manageable.

June 21, 2010 Tina asked:
QCan you use Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) with the Demon WP?
AYes. Demon WP can be used in the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000). We recommend filling the sprayer with 1/2 gallon of warm water, add the Demon WP and let it sit in the water for about 5 minutes. Stir/agitate the mixture, then add the remaining water and agitate mixture again. It is important to remember that Demon WP will not truly dissolve into the water so the mixture will need to be agitated frequently to avoid clogging your sprayer.

Sabrina from Temple, Texas asked:
QDoes the Chapin pump sprayer (20000) sprayer have a high pressure relief valve?
I was looking at the sprayers that you have to offer so I could compare them to see which one would be perfect for the task I need to do, and I noticed that it did not mention anything about having a high pressure auto/manual relief valve.

Dustin from Cary Nc asked:
QWould this sprayer be appropriate for applying talstar p in side the home. As a base board and attic treatment

April 20, 2010 David asked:
QDoes the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer have a fan tip or fan tip adjustment?
Does the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer have a fan tip or fan tip adjustment and is it a satisfactory choice for applying Boracare at my house?
AYes the Chapin 1 gallon pump sprayer comes with an adjustable tip that adjusts from pin stream to fan spray and will work fine to apply Boracare. The Boracare product label does recommend that you mix the Boracare with very warm to hot water in a bucket and then add the dilution to the sprayer to avoid clogging.

Michael from Arizona asked:
QChapin wand flexible?
I have cabinets that have a void between the bottom and the floor. There is a kick plate and I usually bend the wand a bit to get it over the top of the kick plate and treat the void. A stiff metal wand won't work.
The wand on the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer is plastic and not metal. We cannot guarantee that while the wand is plastic, that is would be flexible enough and would not break.

Jason from Silsbee Tx asked:

Ang from Charlotte, Nc asked:
QUse Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer for both herbicide and pesticide
Can I use this sprayer with weed and grass killer and then use it with pesticides on my plants? I can clean it out between uses that I did not know if it might absorb some of the product. Please advise. Thank you.
Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer and with any other sprayer we recommend using different sprayers when applying an insecticides versus herbicide. There is too much potential of residue left behind.

Mark from Richmond, Va asked:
QUse for Concrete Acid Stain Application
I will be applying an acid concrete stain to my patio. Will this sprayer handle it? Recommendation is not to have any metal parts in the sprayer.
The Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) will not handle an acid chemical. You would want to use a chemical sprayer. You can also contact Chapin at 800-444-3140 for advise on the best sprayer to use.

Hanan from Ca asked:
QDoes this sprayer allow for a fan mist or is the fan mode more of a no pressure sprinkle?
I need this to spray a light mist to cover ceilings and walls with The Demon WP product for roach control. Thank you!
A The Chapin one gallon sprayer will give an actual broad mist when the nozzle is in that position. However, please note that no spray should ever be used as a broadcast spray on ceilings and walls or over your head for safety reasons, and Demon is specifically designed for baseboard and crack and crevice treatments only. You not only would be using the product against the label instructions, but you risk having the spray come back on yourself or other areas of the room that you wouldn't want the product to be on. A better application for roaches in high areas would be a bait gel. You can find the proper techniques for treating all areas of a home or business for roaches in our article here: How to Get Rid of Roaches.
September 25, 2010 Faith asked:
QI just received my shipment of rodenticide for chipmunks.
How long does it remain potent? I have a dog on a leash currently because of leg surgery, but the dog will eventually have the run of the back yard again in 2 months. Actually, the label of this rodenticide scares me. Will the dog be safe?
A Rodenticides are safe to use around pets as long as you use them correctly. Bait can remain potent for a long time, sometimes up to a year. This is why you should place the bait in tamper resistant bait stations, which let the rodents and chipmunks in the station and keeps the bait secure, but will not let your dog get to the bait. You definitely do not want to let the dog roam around the yard with rodent bait sitting out.
July 15, 2010 Bill asked:
QWhat is the overall height of the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000)?
The Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) is about 14" long.
