    Q
Does the Chapin pump sprayer (20000) sprayer have a high pressure relief valve?
I was looking at the sprayers that you have to offer so I could compare them to see which one would be perfect for the task I need to do, and I noticed that it did not mention anything about having a high pressure auto/manual relief valve.
    A
No, the basic Chapin sprayer #20000 does not have a pressure relief valve.  Only the Premier sprayers, models #21200 and #21210 come with a pressure relief valve.

  • Asked by Hanan from Ca

    Q
Does this sprayer allow for a fan mist or is the fan mode more of a no pressure sprinkle?
I need this to spray a light mist to cover ceilings and walls with The Demon WP product for roach control. Thank you!
    A
The Chapin one gallon sprayer will give an actual broad mist when the nozzle is in that position. However, please note that no spray should ever be used as a broadcast spray on ceilings and walls or over your head for safety reasons, and Demon is specifically designed for baseboard and crack and crevice treatments only. You not only would be using the product against the label instructions, but you risk having the spray come back on yourself or other areas of the room that you wouldn't want the product to be on. A better application for roaches in high areas would be a bait gel. You can find the proper techniques for treating all areas of a home or business for roaches in our article here: How to Get Rid of Roaches.

  • Asked by Denis from Greer, Sc
    09/03/2016
    Q
Can I use the same Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) for herbicide and pest control?
    A

It is fine to use different products out of the same sprayer such as the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000), as long as you triple rinse the sprayer and wash it out thoroughly.  If you do not wash it out thoroughly, then you could damage or kill the desirable plants/grass, etc. with any herbicide residual left in your sprayer.  You should always triple rinse the sprayer if you are changing the product that you are using.  Triple rinse means to rinse out the inside of the sprayer 3 times, and also fill it with water and run clean water through the hose for at least 1 minute to make sure that there is no residual left in the hose in addition to the tank. We also sell tank cleaners that are excellent for removing any possible residual from your sprayer.

    Q
Can you use Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) with the Demon WP?
    A
Yes. Demon WP can be used in the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000). We recommend filling the sprayer with 1/2 gallon of warm water, add the Demon WP and let it sit in the water for about 5 minutes. Stir/agitate the mixture, then add the remaining water and agitate mixture again. It is important to remember that Demon WP will not truly dissolve into the water so the mixture will need to be agitated frequently to avoid clogging your sprayer.

    Q
Does the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer have a fan tip or fan tip adjustment?
Does the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer have a fan tip or fan tip adjustment and is it a satisfactory choice for applying Boracare at my house?
    A

The Chapin 1 gallon pump sprayer comes with an adjustable tip that can be adjusted from pin stream to cone spray, and to coarse stream, but does not have a fan spray pattern.  However, it will work fine to apply Boracare. The Boracare product label does recommend that you mix the Boracare with very warm to hot water in a bucket and then add the dilution to the sprayer to avoid clogging.

Use Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer for both herbicide and pesticide
Can I use this sprayer with weed and grass killer and then use it with pesticides on my plants? I can clean it out between uses that I did not know if it might absorb some of the product. Please advise. Thank you.

  • Asked by Faith

    Q
I just received my shipment of rodenticide for chipmunks.
How long does it remain potent? I have a dog on a leash currently because of leg surgery, but the dog will eventually have the run of the back yard again in 2 months. Actually, the label of this rodenticide scares me. Will the dog be safe?
    A
Rodenticides are safe to use around pets as long as you use them correctly.  Bait can remain potent for a long time, sometimes up to a year.  This is why you should place the bait in tamper resistant bait stations, which let the rodents and chipmunks in the station and keeps the bait secure, but will not let your dog get to the bait.  You definitely do not want to let the dog roam around the yard with rodent bait sitting out.

    Q
Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000) is leaking just below the shut off with the handle. I have disassembled, cleaned and put back together per video instructions and it is still leaking. Any suggestions?
I disassembled, cleand, and reassebbled it oer the video It still leaks. Any suggestions?
    A

If the liquid is escaping out the top of the Chapin 1 Gallon Pump Sprayer (#20000), this could be the bottom valve or check valve at the bottom of the pump. Click HERE to view the product manual for part numbers and basic troubleshooting ideas. If you continue to have issues with leaking, we would suggest contacting Chapin directly for assistance in troubleshooting your sprayer. Chapin can be reached at (800) 444-3140.
