Non-Professional User of the Chapin #6002
By C. on June 3, 2012I love the product. It's well made and does not leak. I'm an older woman so the pump action is a bit strenuous for me, but I'm getting the jobs done. I really don't see it pushing out much further than about 18-20 feet for me. The video shows that you use the sprayer effectively to 20 feet right out of the package, but I was lucky enough to have someone helping me to not only adjust the nozzle tip but to put a washer in of the perfect size to pump liquid out forward with enough power that 18 to 20 feet. Am I missing something else in order to get to maybe 25 feet?

Verified PurchaseOnly used once but worked well and it's a well built, solid tool. Little expensive but seems like it'll last a long time.

Great Product
By M. on October 8, 2012I used the sprayer with a solution of bleach and water to clean my vinyl sided single story house. In less than an hour 750 sq ft of my home sparkled! I am a small, elderly woman - and had no problem using the pump. The only change I wish could be made to the product is a way to build up and store pressure.

QDo you have a video for the Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer?
I don't understand how this Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer works. Is there a video showing how it operates? I'm looking for a pump that can spray moss killer on my roof. Its a steep roof so I need to throw a spray 25 or so feet.
AThe Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer is a special type of sprayer that works kind of like some of the old time water guns. The sprayer is actually a short hose. You would place the water and/or your solution in a 5 gallon bucket or other container. One end of the sprayer goes into the bucket or container and sucks the water up, basically acting like a siphon. The other end of the hose is the end that you hold and the water sprays out of. By working the "slide" back and forth it sucks up water out of the bucket and then when you slide the handle forward it forces the water out under pressure. We have tested this in our warehouse and it truly does shoot 25 feet at the least. For us it went over 30 feet. We will work on getting a video for this product.

QHave you tested or used your Chapin Slide pump sprayer with bleach containing liquids?
Bleach will corrode even brass in my experience. Can you take it apart to clean?
AWe are not familiar with using bleach in the Chapin slide pump sprayer. You can contact Chapin the manufacturer of the slide pump sprayer at 800-444-3140 ext 2.

QDo you have a sprayer that can spray up to a second story for stink bug control?
I'm looking at purchasing the Stink Bug Kit and want to get a pump sprayer that is able to spray the Demon WP up to my the soffits and louvers at the top of my two story house. Do you have a pump sprayer that will do the job?
AThe only sprayer that we have that can spray long distances is the Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer model 6002. The Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer offers maximum portability and can be used in any container simply by dropping the weighted strainer into the solution and pumping with the slide pump. This sprayer can spray distances of 30 ft or more. There is a video available on the Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer product page so you can get a better sense of how his sprayer works. March 1, 2010Oscar asked:
QHow long is the wand on the Chapin slide pump sprayer #6002? Can I get wands of different lengths?
AThe Chapin slide pump sprayer does not have a wand per say. It has a long rod type slide that you move back and forth which projects the water out from the bucket or whatever you happen to mix a product in. There are not adjustable wands. Please watch the video on the Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer page for product demonstration
September 17, 2011Al from Hendersonville,tn asked:
QWill this sprayer reach the eaves of a 2 story house(25ft)? Plan on ladybug prevention.
Can you recommend a sprayer for 25-30ft?
AThe Chapin backpack sprayer will not reach 25 feet. Most hand pump sprayers whether they are hand held or backpack will only reach 10 feet or so, maybe 15 feet. There is only 1 hand pump sprayer that we have ever found to reach that high, and it is our Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer. We have a video of it in action on the slide pump sprayer page so you can see how it works.
