Clean Air Purge for Dumpster Flies
By Dana on August 6, 2010
I keep my clean air purge in my 3/4 yard dumpsters with the lids closed and it kills the baby flies as they hatch. I have been doing this for several years and I don't have a fly problem. Before doing this I had to use a lot of fly spray on my horses. So I save money by using this in the dumpsters. I just tie the automatic sprayer in the corner of the dumpster and let it work. This could be used in any dumpster that attracts flies like.

Clean Air Purge III is a great product
August 26, 2013
I have been using Clean Air Purge III for around 25 years. Purge keeps all the flying insects under control 24 hours a day. I have two in my shop that go off every 15 minutes. With horses in the local area there has always been flies associated with them. This product has always perform excellent for me. Each can lasts 30 days, and I only need to run them during the spring and summer months.
used since 1989

this product was originally purchased for horse stalls to keep down flying insects for our personal horses. since then I have been using it for around our home up on the mountain with 10 acres but no horses...however the woods do produce flying insects...perfect and not harmful to be in the air and breath....in the home. just a quick press and it sends a mist and the entire room is handled...

Clean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol
By Leah on June 20, 2013
The product works fairly well. It does not drop flies in mid-flight like the can I had prior to this. If it needs to be weaker to be safe for my dog, then I would rather it be weaker. I simply hate the fragrance. I loved the smell of the former spray.
Quick Shipping But Damage
By Mark on April 11, 2013
I found one of the cans to be missing the spray nozzle. I thought I would just move a nozzle from an empty can but the nozzles (actually the tube that holds the nozzle) does not appear to be removable. Can I get a replacement?

Been using this for years. Best insect killer there's out. Have 3 kids under age 8, leave food/crumbs everywhere haven't seen an ant in years. Flies last a min in the house.

February 5, 2011Bonnie asked:
QI have pets. Should I restrict their access to the room being treated with Clean Air Purge III?
AIf you are using the Clean Air Purge III in a timed dispenser, you should try to set it so that it goes off when the room is least likely to be occupied. If you are manually spraying the Clean Air Purge III, it would be best to have the animals out of the room during the treatment process.
January 23, 2010Wendy asked:
QDo you stock the Clean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol in the 6.4 oz size for the automatic dispensers?
AThe 6.4 oz can of Clean Air Purge III is not manufactured anymore. However, the size of the can is the same. The manufacturer decided to cram more product into the can, so although the weight of the can has changed, the size of the can has not changed and will fit your automatic dispenser just fine.
October 23, 2010Melinda asked:
QWill Clean Air Purge III kill spiders? Or do you have another spray for that?
AClean air purge will kill spiders if they are out in the open when you set the can off into the room. Clean Air Purge will not leave a residual or kill new spiders entering the area. Our best liquid application for spiders is Demon WP. It can be used outdoors as well as indoors and will continue to kill insects and spiders for up to 30 days after application.
April 25, 2012Matt from Rockford, Il. asked:
QCan any metered dispensing unit be used with clean air or purge insecticides?
ANot all metered aerosol dispensing systems are made to take cans of all sizes and shapes so it is possible that the the Clean Air Purge would not work in the metered aerosol dispensing machine that you have. we do carry the TimeMist Automatic Dispenser which does accept the Clean Air Purge.
August 16, 2010Cindy asked:
QWhat is the difference between the Clean Air Purge III for California vs. the other states?
In my research online, I've noticed there are cans labeled just for CA which are more expensive. What is difference between the CA cans and the can that can be used in other states?
AThe most common reason for this difference is state restrictions and regulations. We have not heard of a different Clean Air Purge III for California with this particular product. Please call the manufacturer, Waterbury 985-878-6751 for more information.
May 6, 2013Opal from Crestview, Florida asked:
QDoes Clean Air Purge III work on fruit flies?
We have tried just about everything - including bug bombing the house.. there were still fruit flies floating around after the bombing.
AClean air purge is not labeled for Fruit flies. However we have very effective fruit fly traps such as Natural catch Plus traps. These traps are even used in very popular delis and bakeries. If the treatments are still ineffective please contact the local extension office and ask to speak with the Entomologist on duty. This may be a completely different pest than fruit flies.

October 9, 2014Dustin from Mill Creek, Wa asked:
QCurrently using Clean Air Purge III for fruit flies. It's not labeled for fruit flies but will it work?
AClean Air Purge III Metered Aerosol will kill the fruit flies that are sprayed directly. To eliminate fruit flies, you will want to first locate and remove the source that they are attracted to. They are naturally drawn to overripe, rotting, or spoiled produce, but they also make homes in drains, garbage disposals, mop buckets, garbage cans, and recycling bins. There are several different products you can use to get rid of fruit flies. Because they are flying insects, one of the best ways to kill fruit flies in your house is to use a fruit fly trap.
