    5 of 5 Stars  FABULOUS!
By Bubba in Orlando, Florida on October 16, 2010

Great product. After only 2 applications 10 days apart fungus (black spot) is gone. MAKE SURE YOU READ ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND ALL FUNGICIDES BEFORE YOU BUY. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING LOCAL/HORTICULTURAL CONTROL -- you know cleaning up fallen leaves, turn your mulch, trim bad leaves/areas, soaking your trimming equipment in 10% bleach, etc. Know what you are dealing with and know that it is a fungus first. Secondly, make sure you consider a spray program and always use fungicides from different classes in order to not create resistance. In other words, if you use Cleary all the time there is a good chance you will create a resistant strain of fungus and then Cleary will not work any longer. An hour or two of reading on the internet is well worth it and your plants will thank you for it. The only problem is that this fungicide is the only COMMERCIAL, HIGH GRADE fungicide that Do My Own Pest Control has in stock. I would like to see Procure 480sc added as well as Lime-Sulfur 29% so that customers can help prevent resistant fungi by using alternating products. This would also ensure that you eliminate the fungus you have by attacking it alternately with different fungicides with completely different modes of action. Cleary 3336F is AWESOME and what the big guns use.

I purchased two different fungicide products from DoMyOwnPestControl, so I was surprised when I wrote them with a question about the products. I was advised that they didn't know much about it having just started selling fungicide. I was told tocontact my County Agricultural Office. Their response left me feeling not very confident on their expertise!!!! I would think if you are going to sell fungicide products, you ought to be VERY knowledgeable about its' uses, etc.

I have been using this fungicide for several years. It is very useful against a wide variety of fungii. Since it is a systemic, that makes it even more effective. I primarily use it on orchids where I spray it on the roots as well as the stems and leaves.

My wife was told she would have to destroy her peony bushes due to fungus. The came from her grandmothers farm house so she was upset. I told her to wait and cut them down to the ground, applied one treatment of 3336f in the fall and then two in the spring. I have done this for two years and they continue to bloom.

It has been on for two weeks and appears to be working I just put down the second treatment, it says every 14 to 21 days for active fungus. Product comes with clear instructions and, as always, DoMyOwn shipped promply and delivered as stated.

    July 9, 2013

The 3336F fungicide applied to summer patch disease in my bluegrass has done a great job of keeping the disease from spreading. I was able to apply the product at first sign of the fungus do to the FAST shipping from this site. Product label states 41% of active ingredient triophanate; you won't find this at a hardware store. This is the good stuff.

I was pleased to find a source for this product as it is the only Fungicide that has been purported to be useful for Kabtina tip blight on Junipers. We have initiated treatment .... I can't speak to the efficacy of this product as the results will be long term.

June 11, 2011 Christi asked:

QMy extension service recommends 3336 WP for peach tree fungus. Is 3336F the same thing?

AYes it is.  Clearys 3336 comes in many forms.  3336 WP stands for a wettable powder, which is just a powder that you mix with water.  3336F stands for flowable, which is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water.  Both make the same solution but it just comes in different forms for mixing.  Some people like working with powders and others like the liquid form, but the results will be the same.

June 25, 2010 Trevor asked:

QCan Clearys 3336F be used with a hose end sprayer or does it require a tank sprayer to apply?

AYou could use a hose end sprayer to apply Clearys 3336F as long as you can properly calibrate it to spray the recommended amount of product per gallon of water. We carry the Chapin Hose End 6005 sprayer that will spray small amounts 1 teaspoon or 1/6 of an oz) all the way up to larger amounts of 4 oz of insecticide per gallon of water. We do like using hand pump sprayers for most pesticides however because there is no possibilty of mixing mistakes.

July 28, 2011 Bruce asked:

QWhat fungicide do you recommend to control Kabatina Tip Blight?
There is a fungus that attacks my Kabatina juniper. I need a fungicide to control it. The material needs to be applied in the fall.

AThe main product we sell for Kabatina Tip Blight and Phomopsis Tip Blight on junipers is Clearys 3336F Fungicide.  In addition to treating with Clearys, you should immediately stop all irrigation and watering in the area.  You should also not shear the junipers.  Treatment for Phomopsis tip blight should begin in early spring and continue at 10-14 day intervals. Spring treatments are not effective for Kabatina tip blight. Fungicide applications should begin in the fall for Kabatina tip blight.

May 25, 2010 David asked:

QIs Cleary 3336F Fungicide useful for necrotic ring spotted lawn? Is it toxic to children on lawn?
Should I use before or after aeration of lawn? Do aeration plugs spread the necrotic disease?

AWhen treating Necrotic Ring Spot grass fungus you should first dethatch the lawn vigorously. The thatch is how the fungus spreads. You can add the Cleary 3336F Fungicide, but it will not help without dethatching regularly. Also, lower the amount of nitrogen fertilizer that you give the lawn. The product is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the lawn area once it has dried.  Usually 24 hours is advised before returning to the lawn.  As far as aeration plugs we are not sure of the answer to that question.  We would advise calling your local extension office for specific treatment questions for your area and climate.

December 29, 2015 Rick from Oakland Park, Fl asked:

QCan Clearys 3336F Fungicide be used for treating Ixora Nora Grants?
Nora Grants trunks splitting and plants die off. Extension service has not got back with me on what this is caused. Research back to 2006 indicates systemic fungus and iron deficiency.

While Clearys 3336F Fungicide does not list your specific plant on the product label, it is generally safe to use on most ornamentals. We encourage you to have the problem identified before applying fungicides so that you can apply the best product for the disease, if there is one. Ixora are acid-loving plants, so be sure you are pruning properly and using fertilizer specific for acid-loving plants, such as FoxFarm Happy Frog Acid Loving Plants Organic Fertilizer (6-4-4).

December 28, 2015 Joseph from Cinnaminson, Nj asked:

QCan Clearys 3336F be used on dahlias to control powdery mildew?
Can Clearys 3336F be used on dahlias as a foliage spray including the blooms? Also, can it be used in conjunction with Eagle 20EW? Should I spray the soil at the same time?

Clearys 3336F can be used for powdery mildew on Annual and Perennial Flowers when used as directed on the product label. Per the label: Apply when disease first appears and repeat every 7-14 days during disease period. Rotations and/or tank mix combinations with mancozeb (ProtectTM) or triadimefon can be utilized.

Eagle 20EW is specifically labeled to be used on dahlias for powdery mildew and could be used in rotation with Clearys.  both would be applied directly to the plant foliage not the soil.

December 17, 2015 Russell from San Diego, California asked:

QDoes Clearys 3336F cure this oak wilt on oak trees?

Unfortunately, Clearys 3336F is not labeled for Oak Wilt and our understanding is that there is no known way to save an oak tree infected by oak wilt fungus. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and/or find an arborist who can help you with prevention methods in case you have trees that haven't been infected yet.

December 10, 2015 Larry from Roanoke, Va asked:

QHow do I apply Clearys 3336F Fungicide for phomopsis or kabatina fungus in a Juniper bed?
The sergeant juniper bed size is about 7000 square feet.. The pest is likely phomopsis/kabatina fungus. What's the mixing rate per gal water of water? How much will I need for multiple applications? The bed is about 10 years old, and about 20 percent is infected. Any specifics you can provide on rate and frequency of applications will be appreciated.

When using Clearys 3336F Fungicide for twig blights, cankers, and diebacks such as Kabatina or Phomopsis, you would use 16-24 fluid ounces per 100 gallons, or 0.16 - 0.24 fluid ounce (1 - 1.5 teaspoons) per gallon of water, applying when symptons of disease first appear. You should repeat application every 7-14 days as needed during the disease period. Please see the product label for complete application instructions. As will all fungicides, it is a good idea to rotate with a different mode of action fungicide to avoid disease resistance.

December 1, 2015 Christopher from Rockledge, Fl asked:

QIf I use Clearys 3336F and want to alternate with another product to avoid resistance, what product would you suggest?
I have brown patch and dollar spot.

Clearys 3336F Fungicide can be used for brown patch and dollar spot, and it is a Group 1 Fungicide. You will want to rotate with a fungicide in a different group for the best results. Eagle 20EW is a very popular choice and can be used for both these diseases. You can also view our Brown Patch Guide and Dollar Spot Guide for more information about how to Identify and Treat these diseases.

Clearys 3336F Fungicide should be mixed 2-4 oz per gallon water for a foliar treatment for Anthracnose on the Dogwood. You may need to reapply 14 days after initial treatment. Please consult page 5 of the product label

QDoes Clearys 3336F also contain a nematicide?

A Clearys 3336F is a fungicide and should not harm nematodes as it does not contain an insecticide. For additional information, you can speak to the manufacturer at 800-524-1662.
