QCan I use Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide after using another brand on treatment one?
I used Bayer Advanced Fungicide Granules about 10 days ago. It obviously did not do the job. I know I can do a second treatment in 14 days. Now that I found your product, I was wondering if I can use that instead? I don't know exactly how many square feet of lawn I have, but I know I used 120 lbs. at a #6 setting on the spreader as bag indicated. Some spots are better and others are the same. It is a big piece of property and I want to make sure I use something that will work this time.

AYou should not have any problems using a different brand of fungicide than you did for your last treatment. Be sure the disease that you are trying to eliminate is listed on the Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide product label.

QHow is Clearys 3336 DG applied to deciduous trees?
I suspect I have athracnose on my dogwood trees.

A

Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide is really not the best choice for treating Anthracnose in deciduous trees. It is labeled to treat only soil borne diseases in deciduous trees. Instead we would recommend the liquid Clearys 3336F.

Per the product label, you would apply as a foliar spray at a rate of 12-16 fl oz/100 gallon Apply as buds break or at first sign of disease.  Repeat at 7-14 day intervals as needed during disease period.

QWill this product work for crown rot (southern blight) on gold tiarra hosta?
The hosta will grow up and about this time of year the leaves start to fall off and then they will regrow. From photos I have seen it is crown rot/southern blight.

A

Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide is not specifically labeled for crown rot.

We would recommend using Monterey Agri-Fos Systemic Fungicide is labeled for crown rot and can be used on ornamentals. You will use 1 tsp.-2 oz. per gallon of water. It can be used as a foliar spray, soil drench, soil incorporation, basal bark application and bare root dip.

QDoes Clearys control Kabatina tip bright or Phomopsis tip bright on junipers?

AThe main product we sell for Kabatina Tip Blight and Phomopsis Tip Blight on junipers is Clearys 3336F Fungicide.  In addition to treating with Clearys, you should immediately stop all irrigation and watering in the area.  You should also not shear the junipers.  Treatment for Phomopsis tip blight should begin in early spring and continue at 10-14 day intervals. Spring treatments are not effective for Kabatina tip blight. Fungicide applications should begin in the fall for Kabatina tip blight.

QCan you tell me spreader setting for Scott's spreader in using Cleary's 3336 DG lite
It appears the instructions on the bag refer to large scale and perhaps tractor applications. Thanks

AThere is a chart on the last page of the Clearys label that shows different spreaders and the setting to use. If your Scotts spreader is not on this chart, we recommend contacting the manufacturer for help with your specific spreader. You can reach Cleary Chemical at 1-800-524-1662.

QHow do I apply this to evergreen trees?
I have evergreen trees and I was told I need a systemic disease control product and dormant oil. For systemic disease, I would like to know how to apply Clearys 3336 DG Lite Granular Fungicide to them or if you have a liquid version for that application? Also how much I need for 4 small trees - tallest 7' - only certain spots effected. Also, any suggestion for a dormant oil to buy and its application? Thanks!

A

Clearys 3336 DG granules are only labeled for use in commercial horticultural applications for evergreens. There is a liquid formulation called Clearys 3336F which is labeled for evergreens. One quart should easily treat your small trees, but how much you apply will depend on what disease you are treating. Per the product label:

"For soil drench applications, best crop protection is achieved with preventative treatments repeated every 21-28 days. For foliar applications, begin treatments when disease first appears, or during suspected periods of disease incidence. Apply additional applications every 7-14 days or as otherwise instructed for the prevention or control of the listed diseases."

We do sell Hi-Yield Dormant Spray Oil in several sizes as well.
