    Q
Ratio of H20 to Spectro 90 mix
    A
The amount of water to use with Clearys Spectro 90 WDG is dependent upon how much water it takes to cover 1,000 sq feet. To determine how much water to use, we recommend the following steps. Mark off a 1,000 sq ft area. Fill 1 gallon pump sprayer with just plain water. Spray the area to determine how much water you will mix Clearys Spectro 90 WDG with to fully cover 1,000 sq feet. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Asked by Bob from Ada, Michigan
    03/25/2016
    Q
What do you recommend to treat rhizosphaera needle cast on blue spruce trees in Michigan?
We have approximately 100 trees to treat. We would like to do the treatment ourselves.
    A

The only product that we do carry that does not say it cannot be used on blue spruce for needlecast is Clearys Spectro.  Please be aware that although the label states that it can be used on blue spruce, it may still bleach the trees, which is the problem with most products when they are used on blue spruce.  You may also want to contact the cooperative extension office in your area to see what products they may recommend for you to use.

  • Asked by Leanne from Concord, Ca
    09/10/2018
    Q
How can I apply Clearys Spectro to taller trees?
I have a 60 year old Monterey Ash tree with antracnose fungus. How and when should I apply Cleary's? I would need something more powerful than a pump sprayer to reach the branches.
    A

Since the Clearys Spectro 90 WDG is a water-dispersible granule, it does need to be diluted in water before it can be applied. You can use a sprayer tank or bucket to dilute this product in water and then apply using a Chapin Slide Pump Sprayer to spray up to about 25-30 feet. There is a video on the product page to help you see how this sprayer works.

  • Asked by Elvis from Mount Juliet, Tn
    05/13/2019
    Q
Will Clearys Spectro 90 WDG kill shot hole fungus on my Otto Laurels?
Do I need to treat the soil around the plant? If so, how often should I spray?
    A

Clearys Spectro 90 WDG  is labeled for shothole. It is not labeled for homeowner use. We recommend that you treat the Otto Laurels for Coryneum blight (shot hole disease) with Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate.  Bonide Liquid Copper Fungicide Concentrate should be treated around the area as well. The residual of the product will only adhere to the areas it was applied to and dried on.  You would spray all plant parts thoroughly (top and bottom of leaves), and unless otherwise directed in the crop table, repeat every 7 to 10 days.

    Q
Can I mix Spectro 90 WDG Fungicide Suspend SC and Demand CS?
    A

Spectro 90 WDG Fungicide can be tank mixed with other pesticides, surfactants or fertilizers providing a compatibility test has been done prior to determine if the products are compatible and do not separate. Per the product label:

Please review the Tank Mixing Instructions on page 4 of the product label for more information regarding tank mixing.

Both Demand CS and Suspend SC offer a residual and cannot be mixed together. If you are looking for a product that offers a fast knockdown you want to choose a product that contains pyrethrins. ExciteR is a great tank mix partner for pyrethroid based products like Suspend SC or Demand.CS.
