Cloth Moth Control

The Cloth Moth is one of those pests that feed on fiber such as cloth and other fabrics and is possibly the most destructive to such things. Cloth Moths can get into closets and other areas where clothes are stored and completely destroy the garments with holes. These holes are caused by the insects during their larval stage after the eggs have been laid amongst the clothing.

Cloth Moths feed on the fibers of the clothes and leave behind numerous holes that completely destroy the look of the item or items in question. They are more common in humid areas such as the Southeast, and can be found in many closets particularly those that are not used often or that are left to sit unattended for months at a time.

How To Get Rid Of Cloth Moths

Knowing how to get rid of Cloth Moths is only part of the process, as keeping them out is equally important. Both pesticides, repellents, and Cloth Moth traps can be used to accomplish this goal.
The main pesticides used are aerosol products based on the pyrethroid family of active ingredients, among them are Cy-kick Aerosol and 565 Plus XLO.
