Creeping Charlie Resistant or old product?

I applied 992 at the maximum application rate of 1.5oz per 1,000 sqft and it is barely knocking down my creeping charlie (but took out most other weeds. My bottle of Trimec is about 6 years old, but has been sealed tightly and stored out of light. Do you think the creeping charlie is resistant to Trimec 992 and I need to use a different product or do you think my Trimec is just old and I need to order a new bottle from you? Thanks

Answer:

Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide has a long shelf life should still be viable if you are still seeing results on other troublesome weeds. Creeping Charlie, also known as ground ivy is best treated in the fall. Fall applications can provide improved control of winter emerged annual and perrenial weeds such as Creeping Charlie.
