Crystal Blue Natural Pond Cleaner

Natural Pond Cleaner is a specialized blend of naturally occuring bacteria that helps with water clarity, reducing pond odors, clean bottom muck, dead vegetation, fish debris and dead plant matter. Natural Pond Cleaner super charges naturally occurring bacteria to consume micronutrients for a healthy, clear pond. Natural Pond Cleaner is 100% safe for fish, animals, wildlife, recreation, and potable water. Natural Pond Cleaner is a liquid form of beneficial bacteria that naturally occurs in ponds and is not harmful.

How do I apply Natural Pond Cleaner?

To apply simply pour the correct amount of Natural Pond Cleaner into your pond from the shoreline in several different locations around the pond. The Natural Pond Cleaner will disperse itself throughout the water. If you have a high concentration of muck in one area, pour directly in problem area.

Will Natural Pond Cleaner hurt fish, animals, or wildlife?

Natural Pond Cleaner is 100% safe for fish, animals, wildlife, recreation, and potable water. Natural Pond Cleaner is a liquid form of beneficial bacteria that naturally occurs in ponds and is not harmful.

When is the best time to use Natural Pond Cleaner?

The best time to use Natural Pond Cleaner is when water tempuratures are at least 50 degrees or warmer. The strains of bacteria tend to flourish in hotter tempuratures.

How often do I need to use Natural Pond Cleaner?

When first using Natural Pond Cleaner, pour in bacteria weekly for 4 weeks or until desired water or bottom quality is achieved. Continue monthly at half the initial rate to maintain water quality. Usually bacteria will last up to 30 days in the pond; however, rainfall, outflow and evaporation can deplete levels.

How much Natural Pond Cleaner should I use?

One gallon of Natural Pond Cleaner will treat 1 surface acre with an average depth of 4 to 6 feet. A double dose of bacteria is recommended in the spring and fall. Measure your pond properly to make sure enough pond cleaner has been added; however, more then the recommended dose is not harmful.

How does Natural Pond Cleaner work?

Simply put, Natural Pond Cleaner is a proprietary blend of naturally occuring bacteria that create hundreds of enzymes which breaks down organic material. The bacteria are what consume the muck and organic material.

5 of 5 stars  Works Great!

I saw a difference after the second application of the pond cleaner, and after six applications (one per week) it is continuing to perform very well. I greatly appreciate the ease of application as all I have to do is walk around the pond and add the cleaner every six feet or so by pouring a little in a plastic cup and sprinkling it about a foot from the bank.

    5 of 5 stars  A great product

I rely heavily on a product to keep our pond clear. With fall comes leaves and eventually decay at the bottom of the pond. Its cheaper than a previous brand I was using and the application is also easier. I'm very happy with this product. I see results within 4 days.

QWill this kill cat tails?l

ATHe Crystal Blue Natural Pond Cleaner is a Cleaner not a weed killer. It uses bacteria to get rid of scum and build up under and on top of the pond surface. You will need to use a product like Diquat Water Weed Herbicide to control Cattails.

QHow much Natural Pond Cleaner would I use in a 1000 gal pond?
There is no filteration system & pretty much a stationary water pond

AThe manufacturer does not really give you a per gallon of pond water usage rate as that is not how ponds are usually measured. Per the manufacturer: 1 gallon of Crystal Blue Natural Pond Cleaner treats 1 surface acre, 4-6 feet deep. QWhat happens if Crystal Blue Natural Pond Cleaner is used in an above ground pool?
The Crystal Blue lake and pond product was used in an above ground pool. It seems to be turning black, but the filter is running.

APer Sanco the manufacturer, their Crystal Blue Pond Cleaner is not designed to be used in pools and has only been tested in ponds. That being said, they also said that its only a natural bacteria in the product and there would be no harm to anyone swimming in the pool it was used in as its safe to swim in ponds used by it. The bacteria is designed to break down muck and algae in ponds to get the pond cleaner. They are unsure why the pool would be changing to black but their best guess is it may be reacting to the chlorine or other chemicals used in the pool. If the filter does not get the black color to go away over time then you may want to contact the company that used the chemical in your pool to help you get it back to a normal color.
